Default Sync update - cannot find installation files

I'm having problems with my phone bluetooth disconnecting so wanted to update my Sync. I believe I'm on 5.8 right now.

I have a 2011 F150 King Ranch.

I downloaded the installation files on a large Fat32 USB just like the instructions said. I was given the 2 installation files and the folder with the data. When I went to install the update, it tells me that Sync cannot find the installation files.

I've tried it with multiple USB drives; I've downloaded the files multiple times; I'm trying it with the car running and in park. Nothing is working.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Paul

Don't use an extra folder. Use an empty drive and copy the items into the root directory.

Thanks, 5.OH. Are you working on a Windows or an Apple computer?

Thank you. Can you please send your VIN and the time you last tried downloading the update?
