Sync update - cannot find installation files

Oh well....
The system now can read the file but now I got the error message : not enough memory or the update are not compatible !!!

and I lost the radio an media acces until I restard my truck !

Wow.... Ford

How on earth does this basic program error escape Ford sync development. Guess this has been India shored, that's likely how.

And now the sync download has a "system error". How convenient.


Should say, "We at Ford Sync development are clueless as to how to release a simple software update for your vehicle". Please be patient we are being held hostage by our India sync software team.

Hey Turmelator, did the update or the failure change the version on your Ford?


I tried to call and talk to someone about this last Friday in the sync help desk but they were flowchart bound.


All I wanted to ask was can I speak to your developer so I can understand which install file is used or both and what files does this update really need.


I sensed a lot of frustration with the flowchart lady I was speaking with. Absolutely no help but not really her fault my questions were not on the flowchart she was obligated to follow. He questions were target to folks with zero computer skills so I was frustrated as well.


Ford, really is this the best you got?

Took my truck to the dealer for an unrelated issue and asked them to update SYNC while it was there. Called me the next day to tell me my truck was ready but they were unable to update SYNC because their computer was down... I guess it wasn't meant to be..

No, this is the update to the sync site has changed. They have well changed the file.
By cons when I try to install my system can now read the file, but during installation it gives me the message that this is not the correct version for my system.
Yet this is the version that the Ford Sync website gives me based on my truck !!

I have the same issue on my 2011 F150 with the Sony Nav. I have only recently noticed that an update has been released, but it appears that this update has had a long list of problems from day one, nearly a year ago:
