So I have tried many times, following the Ford instructions.
I put in red what i see:
<li class="flo-step-list__item section"> Take the USB drive with the software updates to your vehicle. Turn on your vehicle, and then turn on the radio.
Make sure your car is in a well-ventilated area. Your vehicle will need to be turned on, with the engine running between ten and thirty five minutes. Make sure that your vehicle is not in Accessory mode.


<li class="flo-step-list__item section"> Plug the USB drive in to your vehicle’s USB port.


<li class="flo-step-list__item section"> Press AUX until you select SYNC Line In. Press OK. NO AUX BUTTON

Press Menu. SYNC Media may display. If it does, press OK. THIS SHOWS UP



<li class="flo-step-list__item section"> Media Menu displays, and then Play Menu appears. NOPE



<li class="flo-step-list__item section"> SYNC USB displays. Press OK. NOPE

USB Selected displays. Press OK.NOPE





There are more directions, but since I cannot get to them, I didn't include.


Any one know how to update??? This is making me crazy!!
When I see Sync media and hit ok, it says "no playable media found".
I cannot get past this point. Please help......

 

You should post what radio you have so that we know what you are working with. Do you have the 4.2" screen, 8" MFT, or small text only display?

When is Ford going to fix the siri integrations issues with Sync Gen 1. The 4.6 update does not allow Siri to work through the vehicle microphone.
Sync in my 2014 Expedition EL was recently updated at the dealer to the 4.6 version. Ford is having a problem with downloads on their website so I had to pay the dealer to do it. Now Siri no longer works. This is very frustrating and I would like to see a fix. I would not have done the update had I been informed by Ford that Iphone users would experience problems after the update,
Does anyone have it? My Sync Gen 1 - 4.6 update says DR3T-14D544-AE so I imagine the downgrade file is DR3T-14D544-Af. Can anyone help?

Had a nice little chat with Sync today. Killing the Siri functionality (or more specifically the mic functionality) was by design. This really sucks.

 

can anybody help me with going back from 3.10 to 3.8? the instructions above didn't make much sense to me and I don't want to screw it up. i just feel that the 3.8 ran a little smoother for me.

Still looking for the files to downgrade Sync to a workable version with Siri (iPhone Mic). Anyone?

I just downgraded from 4.6 to 4.4. I got Siri back, but the source defaults again back to Sync Line-in. I'd rather have this version (and Siri) than 4.6 with NO Siri. This whole situation is a joke.
