Sync update - cannot find installation files
Hello
While surfing the web I found this topic. I have exactly the same problem. Tried 3 differents usb dongle and alwayws the same results. Sync does not find the installation file on the usb dongle?
Have you found the solution?
I have a 2011 with the navigation system.
Thanks

Hi Turmelator,
The download/install issue with version 4.4 is still ongoing. Our engineers are looking into this, but there is not an ETA at this time. Please send your VIN in a private message.

So I just discovered that the update file is wrong. If you look at the Autoinstall.lst file (You can open it in a text editor) it looks for 2 files.
1) SyncMyRide\8L2T-14D546-AF.CAB
2) SyncMyRide\E1BT-14D546-HC.cab
File 1 is improperly cased - which may or may not cause an issue.
File 2 simply doesn't exist in the ZIP. Closest we have is E1BT-14D546-HA.CAB (oddly enough upper case file extention compared to the others)
My assumption, is that you could in theory rename the -HA.CAB file to -HC.cab and it would work. However, I don't want to brick my radio so I won't be testing that theory.

lmao if that's the source of the problem. Can you be a ford engineer instead?
I also opened the autoinstall and found the same error.
It is looking for the following file:
Open2 = SyncMyRide\E1BT-14D546-HC.cab
This file does not exist.
Shaay, any help here? What is going on with the quality control at Ford? I do software for a living and this type of update is very unprofessional.
