As I posted before, my truck supposedly had an engine update and tranny update just over a week ago in an attempt to solve the shuddering / misfire feeling.

While driving today, I realized I can also re-create this feeling in 5th gear while under slight acceleration from 35 to 45 mph. Once again, very low RPMs and a slight load, just like the 6th gear issue. I would assume that this has been going on right along, but I just haven't felt it because it is rare that I drive at 35 mph on smooth (so I can feel the random misfire feeling) road and have just enough acceleration to keep it from shifting down.

BTW, the tech told me that there was no tire size programmed into my truck when he did the updates. This leads me to believe, like Bob Mac, my truck didn't receive the proper programming from the factory.

Been running midgrade or premium since I got the truck and feel it on every tank so I doubt its a gas issue.

Does anybody feel the same type of shudder we feel under acceleration when applying the brakes?

No, at least what I am feeling. Definitely more of a misfire feeling. I am very familiar with TC shudder - I owned a '97 4R70W tranny with the Mercon III factory fill.

My truck was built in mid May 2011.
It is definately not a trans problem! I can make my truck do it in 5th gear also. It's always in the same specific rev range and it's an engine miss/studder, nothing to do with shifting/not shifting or converter locking/unlocking or any sort of tire balance problem. It's some sort of ignition problem and I'm pretty sure that it will take some sort of PCM programing change to fix this thing. I just hope it's sooner than later.

i have a 2011 5.0 and when the truck was new for the first 2000kms i had this same problem. I installed a hypertech max energy and the shutter/missing feeling has never returned and i now have 25000kms.

My truck is at the dealer right now. I dropped it off this morning and they already called and said its ready. I don't know what they did but I will find out in a little while and report what they said and if it fixed the problem. Fingers crossed.....
