I got my eb f150 back Wednesday and my fuel mileage is back where it's supposed to be. They also lubed the slip yoke on the rear drive shaft at the transfer case. This took care of the problem on take off. I am told that the dealer is waiting on ford for the solution to the 6th gear problem. I'm betting it will involve solenoids in the tranny.

Thats why I am thinking the combined solenoid replacement along with the Misfire Neutral Profile Correction fixed my issue.

FYI, I no longer have the shudder, truck runs amazingly smooth and no more soot from the tailpipe and I observed this this morning by looking at the condensation puddle and it was clean!

Yes I did but, the times I took the truck in I always got the "Normal Characteristic of the Truck" story. Now she is as smooth as a babies *** and feels much more responsive and mpg's have gone up and as far as I can tell after a fillup 2 days ago it appears to have gone up 1.5mpg. Need to verify after next fillup...

Default Ecoboost problems too

I also have the shuddering at 55mph. Started after about 2500 miles. Took it in and they reset some code and said it was fine. Drove it off the lot and it started doing the same thing. Took it back in the next week and the tech said they talked with Ford and were working on a fix. I guess this is what you guys are talking about. It is due out in Jan 2012 - maybe. I did call Ford and bitched. They gave me the extended 5 yr 75,000 warranty for free for my troubles. Those of you that are having problems should call in too and maybe you can get the free extended warranty. It sucks to buy a $40,000 truck and have thse issues. My gas mileage is not what it was when I first got my truck either. I was getting 21-22 on the highway. Now I get about 18.5 to 19. Same driving habits too.

Hi
Please take your truck to the dealer. The more Ford hears and records customer complaints to this issue the faster we will get a TSB release.
Squeaky wheel thing....
Cheers

I'm in the same boat need to get it into the shop. Anyone feeling this above 60 now? I felt it slightly at 70 on the highway last night.

I just got back from talking to the service guys at my dealership. I have an appointment to take it back in on Monday morning. They said they think it is a transmission issue. I told them about the stuff I've read on here, but they kind of just ignored it. They said they will have the transmission tech look at it and that the programming will definitely be updated. I also told them that my fuel mileage has tumbled significantly over the past few months, but they said that is normal with colder temps and winter fuels. I don't think 3-4 mpg loss is strictly due to cold and fuel. I told them I have a specific route that I travel weekly and when my truck was new I could get 20-22 mpg on that route and now I'm lucky to get 17 mpg. I'll keep everyone posted about the shuddering issue and if they are able to fix it.

If it's tranny issue then it's the solenoids. Doesn't take much to replace them BUT the parts are on national backorder! Have them check the part numbers in reference to TSB 11-11-11. Keep us posted!

I'm not convinced its a tranny issue, but that is what the service guys are thinking right off the bat. They claimed they have had very few issues with the EB and many issues with the tranny that the entire F-150 line plus other models use. I'll let you know what I find out.
