i actually wasn't trying to be snarky .. i was trying to get you to think about the security of the weapon.. sorry i offended you.. i shall move a long.. and yes i did share my opinions on mounting a pistol in the truck earlier in this thread.. it was not to single you out

but for consistency and to show i'm not attacking you since everyone on this forum is super sensitive.. here are my prior posts

anyone reading this is free to answer.. i would love to hear responses

I remember when the owner of a range i used to go to told me i should never carry my stainless steel 1911 and i asked why.. he said because anybody can see that big shiny thing when you pull it out.. you are already at a disadvantage .. i listened and i only carry that gun to the range in a case

you may not like the delivery of Unbroken's message, but he is right in my opinion

I don't carry in the gun rack of my '77 anymore either, just use it for hat hanging and the screws are there. I do leave a cheap 3 foot level in it.

Have you ever unlocked and then resecured the left rear seat on a s-crew? Something behind there isn’t going anywhere, especially when comparing to say, a pistol on a magnet.

I understand we are all adults here and we all make adult decisions .. i'm not here to tell you what to do.. or how to do it.. some of us have a little more paranoia than others.. i even blur my plate when i post it here because it's a public forum and i would hate anyone to track me down and break into my truck.. that's all i'm saying.. that's a beautiful weapon.. me personally i wouldn't say that it was there in case some one tried to break into the truck and take it.. that's all.. no judgement

Right, but it would meet the letter of the law I would assume.

What safe top are you talking about? I've seen the Center Console Lock Vault, but they make the console a lot less useful and I'm not a big fan of the lock on them. Seems to be the case with all of them that I've found.

You can also get the ones that bolt in under the rear seat with steel cable ties as added security. Nothing is visible from the outside so very difficult to remove or break into.

I installed this metal plate in my center console. It holds my handgun but I'm looking for a better molle mount. If anyone knows somewhere that makes good ones, let me know. It's for a Taurus G3c or Springfield Hellcat

I stuck a gun magnet to the front left of the console. When I need to put my carry somewhere, it is secure and no one notices the magnet when its not.

I just installed one that I got off Amazon.

Think the brand is Gun Magnet World.

Thing is really strong.

If you put the pistol where the magnet is middle of the slide it is very solid.
If you put it where the magnet sits closer to front sight it will want to move around when you hit a large bump, but won’t fall off. It’s just the leverage.
