Pistol mount
but for consistency and to show i'm not attacking you since everyone on this forum is super sensitive.. here are my prior posts
your number 2 answer is what concerns me.. my carry is an XDS so its pretty easy to get to on my hip... but i also have a 3 year old who is in his car seat.. and though anything can happen during a car jacking.. i like the idea of magnets but i fear someone telling me to get out the truck might freak out if i don't feel comfortable grabbing the weapon if its multiple carjackers.. i feel with it still holstered i may be able to talk the attackers into letting me take the kid and let them have the truck.. but again these are all made up scenarios no one knows how any of these could play out
serious question here... in a scenario where you have passengers and are being car jacked isn't this situation worse than having it on your person? as it may escalate the situation? or in a situation you are pulled over and the officer see's it and lets say its a rookie who freaks out? again no judgement just a serious question question

i used to feel this way until a license gun owner got killed by what seemed like a rookie cop who wasn't paying attention and panic'ed .. now it makes me concerned .. now i usually slide my permit under my license when i'm stopped.. so far so good.. but the magnet seems like a good idea and i even added one to my amazon list, but i always want to be over paranoid and weigh the pros and cons before i make that choice since i have a child in a car seat and its not as easy as all adults can quickly exit my truck
i don't want to get in between the debate.. but when i purchased my first pistol i didn't carry it around for a week until i was comfortable carrying loaded with one in the chamber .. no one can predict what will happen but you should always be one step ahead in my opinion with one already loaded and ready to go. I remember when the owner of a range i used to go to told me i should never carry my stainless steel 1911 and i asked why.. he said because anybody can see that big shiny thing when you pull it out.. you are already at a disadvantage .. i listened and i only carry that gun to the range in a case

i actually wasn't trying to be snarky .. i was trying to get you to think about the security of the weapon.. sorry i offended you.. i shall move a long.. and yes i did share my opinions on mounting a pistol in the truck earlier in this thread.. it was not to single you out

I understand we are all adults here and we all make adult decisions .. i'm not here to tell you what to do.. or how to do it.. some of us have a little more paranoia than others.. i even blur my plate when i post it here because it's a public forum and i would hate anyone to track me down and break into my truck.. that's all i'm saying.. that's a beautiful weapon.. me personally i wouldn't say that it was there in case some one tried to break into the truck and take it.. that's all.. no judgement
What safe top are you talking about? I've seen the Center Console Lock Vault, but they make the console a lot less useful and I'm not a big fan of the lock on them. Seems to be the case with all of them that I've found.
Right, but it would meet the letter of the law I would assume.

I installed this metal plate in my center console. It holds my handgun but I'm looking for a better molle mount. If anyone knows somewhere that makes good ones, let me know. It's for a Taurus G3c or Springfield Hellcat
Think the brand is Gun Magnet World.
Thing is really strong.
If you put the pistol where the magnet is middle of the slide it is very solid.
If you put it where the magnet sits closer to front sight it will want to move around when you hit a large bump, but won’t fall off. It’s just the leverage.
