Spoken like a true subject, lol....
I am not a Canadian history buff, but aren't a lot of you guys of English and French heritage? If so, that could explain the difference in our mentalities. The French for sure should be thankful of the American fascination with guns and I am quite sure the English and most of the European nations feel that way as well. A lot of them would be speaking German today if not for the US. We will always fight for what we believe in and never fully trust that any government or police force will be there to protect us or have our best interests at heart.
Someone comes in my home they are a threat to my family and will be dealt with as such.

I once saw an ad for a used French miltary rifle....never fired....only dropped once!

I think you'd better update your history cause I think Americans came from the same place! Or do you think you are native? Lol!!
Another thing is the US didn't save Europe on its own, there were other countries there as well. The US might have been the added force necessary to push back but it wasn't just them.
Also, I don't think they brought their own personal weapons from their nightstand to fight.

btw, there is an ongoing Political thread with this discussion going on. You guys might want to take this argument there before the mods close this one.

This thread was jacked bad. Lets keep it on subject. I am curious on people's creative mounts and don't want to read through 10 pages of banter to see it.

Yes, Americans came from the same immigrant class as Canadians. BUT we kicked out the King, Queen and all his subjects in a huge revolution. They all went north and started "Canada"!!

We are distinctly different and will remain that way!!

Sorry, I just could not let the "European immigrant" go uncontested. Back to the subject....

Alright, not sure if anybody said this or not because I got tired of scrolling through the political BS but here we go... Blackhawk makes a mount for their holsters you can put in your truck and their holster just clicks in. Even if you don't use their holster for your carry you can buy one just for your truck. Here's some pics and a link I found

I don't really care much for having a pistol mounted where it can be seen while driving or getting in and out of the truck. If there was a crash, I think your pistol would go flying around the cab with most of the mounts I've seen here.

For the most secure and accessible method, I think wearing it on your hip is best.

Go put on a heavy coat and then buckle your seatbelt and then see how easy it is to access your sidearm in a hurry. A holster setup like shown in this thread will most certainly be faster for access in most situations.
