I don't get the Ontario mentality comment though. Not sure what you're getting at.

Its American, Im not sure where this "Merican" crap is from but it needs to go away. Im an American, not a 'Merican. As for the Canadians not getting it well, thats why youre Canadian's and were Americans. If you wish to begin to understand just open a history book. We didnt become independent from the king by throwing our hands in the air and submitting, we dont work that way and we never will.
Oh, dont apologize, its just a pet peeve of mine. And thank you BTW.
to get this back on topic (yea right) look into this:

looks pretty simple, little pricey for what it is, but 3 screws/bolts and your gun is mounted on any semi flat surface in the truck. its what i plan on going with when i get that far...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying strip everybody of their weapons, but something needs to be done to regulate weapons. For example mags, transporting of weapons. And maybe I'm a little confused so feel free to sort me out, why the hell do you need fully automatic long guns?
I mean I've spent 2years in combat, and I have never had a need to fire on full auto, mainly because its not accurate fire, and it's a waste of ammo

mine will be going into the subie first, and in case you havent heard me say it yet, i dont give 2 chits about that car, i was contemplating doing some major hack work on the console before i found the texas mounts lol. ill be mounting mine in the center console btw, and only if i go somewhere where concealed carry is not allowed, otherwise it'll stay on my ankle while in the car.
