Center Console Gun Mount (Completed w/ Pics!)
Well after hours of googling ive finally found my perfect solution for mounting a pistol in the flow through center console. In texas you are able to have a loaded firearm within reach as long as it is concealed. So the center console was a logical choice.
I plan on doing something like this:
But using a blackhawk serpa holster with the quick dissconnect. That way I can simply take the entire holster out of my truck and use it for other purposes. I thought about using one of the magnet vehicle mounts, but I dont want the pistol have a chance of falling around. This holster locks it in place.
I ordered the parts and they should be here in 2-7 business days . Ill make sure to post up pics when I get done.
Im thinking this is going to be the safe I choose. It has a finger print recognition or normal sequence unlocking, can be cabled to the seat, or drilled for a more permanant solution. And its not TOO terribly expensive. That way if im travelling and need to leave for a prolonged time period, I can lock my pistol in there and it be safe and sound.

Thanks! The quick dissconnect kit comes with one adapter for the holster, and 2 adapters to mount on whatever. So one is going in my center console, and the other on my polaris ranger. That way the entire holster can be used in multiple situations.

In my truck im carrying a Ruger p95 9mm. Its cheap and I wont be too worried about it. Before I got this one I had a xdM .40, but that was a lot of money to leave floating around and it made me nervous sometimes. All this and im only 18 .

Is it bad that today (my second day with my new truck), I was already looking for places to carry a handgun?
