Do not read too deep into this thread. Your truck is brand new and has all these updates built into it already. The few updates that are missing, you will get naturally. Enjoy your new truck and pay this thread no mind.

Regardless, for those of us with 2021 and 2022 trucks, I think a sticky / guide is an excellent idea.

Does the truck pull its OTA updates via home WiFi while the truck is turned off, or over cellular while the truck is turned off? If it's cellular, does anybody know if it's Verizon or ATT? If cellular I'm hoping its Verizon as I have a 4G network extender in my home so there are full bars of LTE goodness available.

That was going to be my next followup question. Is Ford good w/ sending units out fully patched? TY !

Ford uses ATT. You can set the update to be grabbed at a time good for you. Dealer may or should check for any updates before delivery.

Most of us set updates to happen at night. You can also connect your truck to wifi as well. I connected at home and multiple hotels I've been to when on the road. Laugh any time I get to a hotel and it recognizes the wifi network.

A sequential list of all OTA updates that pertain to our trucks is being hosted here:

Assuming the truck is added to my home WiFi, does the truck use WiFi for updates instead of cellular? The cell signal in my area sucks; which is why I have the Verizon extender.

I can tell you that people have reported getting OTA's while on wifi, but I do not know if the truck used the wifi for the downloads, or if it ignored the wifi connection and used it's own connection for the download.

The old sync3 allowed you to update via USB; is that still an option?
