You got 1.6 on July 28th, guessing you got 1.4 when the truck was built. You have an update retry pending from October 12th (seems to be like the rest of us with the Oct 11th date, just on... the 12th). You also show as outstanding field service action for windshield.

 

You have no OTA history as yet, but as your warranty start date was mid august, guessing your truck had 1.4 and 1.6 off the line, so nothing would be expected until 1.7.1 is rolled out to you.

You have an electronic transmission fluid pump control circuit code though that triggered in late September, hard to say if it is still relevant or just still in memory, probably not a big deal if you aren't seeing any service messages in the truck though. I have yet to see an F-150 that doesn't have some codes in memory, most aren't a big deal if the truck isn't telling you about it, but just for your information.

So are you saying that my truck was assigned the 1.7.1 update but it's not going through yet?

 

It's a bit of a mystery unfortunately. For some I see it specifically say 1.7.1, but for many, like you and myself, I don't see a pending update for 1.7.1, but see on the summary page that it said on 10/11 or 10/12 there was a pending OTA update.

What I suspect happened is they queued an update of some kind but pulled it, which is why I don't see it in pending. Could have just been an accident. So I wouldn't pay it too much attention just yet. I don't see 1.7.1 on any pending lists except those I specifically said I see 1.7.1 pending for, which is only a couple (when I checked, they seem to send out a new batch around 10am Eastern).

 

Great thanks for the update. I came out to my truck about a week ago and it was lit up like a Christmas tree reporting all types of faults and two conflicting messages, one saying an update failed then the next saying the update was successful.

 

Could you please check mine 1FTFW1ED6MFB99620 , it is a recent build but I still dont have the securealert feature that should have been in 1.6 /1.4 ? And i have been hit with some of the apim issues that are supposed to get fixed in 1.7.1.
