Software Updates
I just noticed on my home’s network monitor in Eero that the second network connection corresponding to Sync went active this morning on my truck. This seems to be the case whenever I have received an OTA update in the past. The last time was back in October when I received 3.5.2. It has not connected since.
The other network connection for the TCU I see daily seems to be the one used for sending/receiving commands from FordPass like remote start, door locking, etc and also sending data back to ford for the various online services.
It will be interesting to see if 3.5.3 or 3.5.3.2 gets delivered here soon.

Rugedraw looked up my VIN and told me I am at Version 2.6, haha. I guess I don’t know what I’m missing. It last tried to update in November.
I bought my 21 truck used about three weeks ago and have put about 500 miles on it. Auto start stop hasn’t activated a single time in three weeks of ownership. I’m thinking there might be a battery issue since auto start stop doesn’t work at all, and so far behind in updates. My 2017 F150 would start/stop at every light.
I bought one of those power supply things, but seems pretty useless until the truck is ready for an update. I’m parked in good WiFi range of my house.

Why wouldn't you want auto stop/start to work? Just curious. (I have a Powerboost so it technically doesn't have auto stop/start, although you could argue that a hybrid vehicle is auto stop/start on steroids.)
I love it. Especially at these insane 3-4 min+ California red lights. I’m going to take it in for service this week and see if the battery can be replaced under warranty. Then…maybe updates from 2.6 🤑
Probably one on the most hated feature to become main stream. I put an Autostop Eliminator on both my 2020 Edge ST and on the 2021 F-150. I remember the position of the switch when the vehicle is turned off. $89.95 was ok for me to buy to eliminator twice, as the one for the Edge ST would not work on the 2021 F-150. Dealer even told me that he gets more complains about that feature that just about anything else.
for the cost and hassle of your time to take it to the dealer you can go buy a quality aftermarket battery (a better battery). Duralast Platinum.
My Auto Stop / Start has not been working for months, even after charging the battery overnight. After a few days not driven truck goes into sleep mode. I stopped getting OTA updates in October, and I am still only at 2.7.4. Took my truck to the dealer for service, and asked them to load test the battery. They say the battery is good. Not sure I believe them. Charge the battery and 8 hours later the static voltage is down to 12.3V. I have put an amp clamp on the battery cables and there is only a very small draw, expected for "keep alive" circuits (don't remember now how many milliamps, but was not much).
I have a volt meter plugged into the cigar lighter, I often see charge voltages in excess of 15V for long periods of time, which concerns me.
Hate to spring for a new $250 battery when warrantee should cover it.
2021 XLT Job 1

You sure about that? My Powerboost came from the factory with Auto Start/Stop enabled and it works flawlessly. Runs on the hybrid battery pack until it needs to be recharged or until I call for extra speed. This is what gives you 24mpg. I can see why you wouldn't want it if your 12V starting battery is giving you problems...you'd worry that it wouldn't start up again. Believe you can disable Auto Start/Stop with ForScan.
