Hi can I wondering if someone could look into my Vin #1FTEW1EP7MKD96017 my automatic updates are grayed out and my sync 4 has no revision # is it working on an update?

I got the same issue on mine. One day it grayed out then next day it was fine. Now its grayed out once again. I wish we knew how long these updates should take.

Same thing here. One day it's fine, the next day all options are grayed out, then the day after it's fine again. Right now they are greyed out again.

Mines like that also. About 5 days ago while I was driving it popped up and said system updating. Then the next 2 days it was pulling a lot down from the wifi at home. Still no update notification 5 days later. Read on the Mach E forum that this was a bug for 1.7.1 as they are having the issue also and they are working on a fix for it so who knows? It will probably work eventually regardless or it won’t and the update will fix it ? All the others came down perfectly for me just this one taking a bit (1.7.1).

The Sync version and Revision number blanked out on mine several weeks ago. Based on what other people have been posting here I was hopeful that finely I was getting an update, but still no notifications of any updates and it still is saying I am up to date.
Last it said was I was on SW 20312 Revision 243.
February build, purchased in April. As far as I can tell, I have never received any updates.
It shows connected to my home router when the truck is on, auto updates is on.
I talked to the local ford shop and they were not helpful on this.
Very frustrating.

Well I made the call today and they said wait 2 weeks and call again if nothing happens. I went to make sure the auto update was on and low and behold I now cannot turn it on or schedule anything. Sigh

I have the common towing module dtc that is hidden in the background. Could that be an issue too? There is no check lights or other codes.

If what everyone is seeing with the update screen being grayed out and no sync version displaying, you need a new APIM because the 1.7.1 update is failing at the APIM. I had 3 failures notifications in FordPass and then dealer tried to install and failed as well. They contacted Ford who said to order a new APIM. First one was wrong version for my truck, still waiting on my second APIM to arrive to be installed.

I’ve had no failure messages at all. I did get 1.4 and 1.6 successfully according to the app. Since then is when I’ve noticed automatic updates as greyed out and no software version/revision info.

I have a call with Ford OTA Marketing team tomorrow, if anything comes of it I’ll post an update.
