That's a way better picture of that sub than what's on the Ford Accessory site. It answers my question if it would fit in my truck. I have the B&O Unleashed system and the supplied subwoofer could certainly be better. I couldn't tell how far Kicker enclosure extended towards the door. Answer is the Kicker upgrade won't fit because the external amp/DSP is on the back wall near the door. Thanks for your post.

I plan to add the kicker auxiliary Ford subwoofer when my parts manager can track one down.
Not sure what to do with the center channel, if anything.
I'm not keen to add amps, I'm just going to upgrade the speakers.
Keep in mind if the after market speakers power range is outside that of the stock powering ability it will sound worse. Why not keen on amps? I wouldn't have a system without amps. It's amazing the sound when you have the right amount of power going to quality speakers.

It makes a huge difference to me. I did the same on my '17 STX with semi-cheapo tweeters.
When I sit in the backseat, the brilliance isn't there as much because, even though there are rear tweets, they are down much lower, just above the door speaker.
Raising tweets has always been part of the 1st set of things I do to a new truck system.

I've got a kicker for you that I bought and decided to go with a better all around package. I used it for about 6 weeks until I got my truck completely reworked. PM me if you want it. Been sitting in my garage for weeks.

I can see the separate tweeters in the rear helping in the back seat, but I am wondering if the tweeter in the sail panel has better imaging than in the factory location. I would think it has to be since the factory points toward the windshield instead of the occupants.

Yes. Sail panel 100%.
Call me weird, but the factory tweets aimed at the bottom of the windshield seems a little lame.

Good luck, I will be following along as I am still on the fence as to which way I want to go. Should not be too hard with the harness already done.

It really was very simple. Take the tray out on top of the stereo and unplug the black plug from the stereo and plug in the harness. Very easy.
