When I spoke to Ford last week, the CS agent went through all the steps mentioned earlier in this thread. She said if none of that works, then be patient as the Sync development team is aware and will push out an updated package. I'm getting used to it now. Turn on the truck, wait for/click thru the pop up screens, and when Car Play comes up, play podcast or music.

That depends on who you believe. Ford's site says 23088, people did the update and we are having problems, but the truck still says it's on 22251. A member posted screen shots of both.

I wish Ford or someone with Ford would recognize that there is an issue. If I buy a new module and then Ford comes out with a fix, I'm going to be ticked.

I agree- if it was a cheap part I wouldn’t care. But I would be really mad if they rolled out a recall or update after I paid for a new APIM.

Ford site/my radio say I have the latest update 22251 yet never had issues until recently. To me the first 2 numbers would be the year of the update so 23088 would be the latest and greatest. But that only seems logical to me.

As I recall, the release is as follows: yyddd where yy = year, ddd = day number within the year. So, 22251 is the 251st day of 2022. 23088 would be the 88th day of 2023.

If I buy and install one, Ford will admit there is a problem and have a solution about 48hrs later. lol.

I just find it difficult to believe that so many users APIM's are having issues, all at the same time, all during the same period of time.

I swear there is a FMCO rep on here, or someone associated with Ford.

For sure plus who knows if the online Drs really understand or come from the school "when in doubt throw it out"!
For example, I have a 2014 Escape and roughly 2017 after the 3/36K warranty expired started having an intermittent blank screen for the backup camera. The Drs online all agreed the APIM was soon to be toast. Well, it's 2023 still have the original APIM and the backup camera blank screen rarely happens now so who know what glitch/loose connection it might be.

This has to be an update issue. we are all having the same issue, roughly same year vehicle and all have auto updates on.
I am having the memory issue. this is bull****.

you are correct. it is broken down like this:
the 22 = 2022
the 251 = 251st day of the year.
