Hard to believe the things people complain about.

Ford needs to fix the inadvertent tailgate release before adding another switch.

Fordgate started another thread back in January.

The one thing I would like to have is a completely hands free release, stand behind it with key in pocket, kick under it the correct way, and it lowers...that would be nice for when my hands are full of crap I don't want to set down (like, bags of dog food and the ground is wet for example)
My wifes car has that. I must admit, it can be pretty handy. But 90% of everything that goes into the bed of my truck is usually loaded on a cart from Lowes. So, it wouldn't be an option I would check the box for.

I really don't mean this rudely, but are you upset that there's not a button on the dash or that you have to reach into your pocket to accomplish the task?

Every SUV or car I have bought in the last 10 years has a BUTTON inside the car to do this. With the greatly increased curbside pickup options due to COVID, it is inefficient to require the use of the key FOB - just for that!
I agree with you, that is a convenient option that would be nice to have. Sounds like they addressed it in the new models. Curbside pickup is just one example of why it would be useful. I would get use out of that option when dropping my kids off for sports stuff. Might not be for everyone.
Not sure why you received such a negative response on here, too many jokers and old people set in their ways I guess. That's the beauty of these forums, everyone feels the need to voice their opinion--but not everyone should.

This is something that can be added relatively easy. I initially followed this post: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/auto-...6/#post5834257

You can wire it to any switch like this guy: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/auto-...8/#post5867819

I decided to actually wire it into my auto start/stop button since I'm tuned and have no other use for it anymore: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/tailg...3/#post6604641
