Default No inside button for tailgate release??

Is there not an inside button to remotely release the tailgate? I have the remote tailgate release option, but the only way I have found to use it is to use the key FOB. With keyless entry and engine start, I can't believe you have to dig out the key FOB to remotely release the tailgate. Every SUV or car I have bought in the last 10 years has a BUTTON inside the car to do this. With the greatly increased curbside pickup options due to COVID, it is inefficient to require the use of the key FOB - just for that!

I can't believe my truck doesn't have the nut scratcher option. It's incredibly inconvenient to have to reach down and do it manually.

if you unlock your truck with the door keypad and then immediately hit the 5-6 button, it will open your tailgate. Not in the manual. Just found that by accident....

That's a 5 star response. If there is a Hall of Fame on this forum for witty responses, that will have to be at the top. And very helpful at the same time.

It's called customer engineering. See why you may not understand that.

Thanks! Actually a helpful reply! Instead of all the wannabe comedians.

And all of the others let you drop the tailgate from inside the cab?
