I have a 2017 Lariat and I'm buying the Raptor kit.
Once you have that kit can you post the pin and connector on the BCM it is using. I mean we're going to find it eventually, so you might as well save us the time of testing different pins.
You bet I'll post the pin/connector location information as soon as I receive the kit.
I just got the kit for use with a Raptor with upfitter switches. I haven't had time to check out my vehicle for compatibility.
The connector is BCM C2280B, using pin #1. Now I need to verify that my BCM is the same before I test. Anybody with a 2017 wiring diagram could you verify for a Lariat?

I'll go back and have another look. In my May 18th post in this thread I guessed pin 1 in C2280E but maybe I made a typo or misread it and C2280B is the lift gate release location... or maybe C2280E (blue connector) in the F150 = C2280B in the Super Duty.
I was not aware of the number of BCM connectors. I though we just had one. I'm learning.
Also - the BCM Connector to add the wire in pin 1 appears to have 4 rows of 13 pins. In his diagram provided with the kit, it is shown located as the middle black connector in a group of three. These are on the passenger side foot kick panel below or on engine side of the fuse panel. I hope this helps.
Haha. Looks like I8iridium alread did this and posted about it 07-03-2017, 01:02 PM

This isn't an all-inclusive how-to, because there's about 90 different ways to run wire and make a button, so I'll just show you the harness to look for and the location on the BCM. The rest is up to you all. lol
Like I said above, it's C2280B Pin 1. The diagram is upside down from how the BCM is located in the truck. The blue wire is the wire I added. You'll pull that harness and take it apart, insert the wire and run it where you want to. If the wire is grounded, it'll pop the tailgate. Put the button you find in a convenient location and you're done.

I just got done checking this out and everything I8iridium posted is correct. I inserted a bare stranded wire into pin #1 of C2280B located as described in his post. Once the wire was inserted, I reinstalled the connector and then took the opposite end the wire and grounded it to a grounding stud - the tailgate opened!
I can now install a momentary "ON" switch and mount somewhere on the Drivers side of the Truck. I would like to add the switch that Airborne_Ape identified. The problem is how to mount the switch next to the pedals switch. Any ideas. I have the gray plastic interior.
I went and did some research at the Ford Dealership today. I checked out a new 2017 Super Duty. Dimensionally the panels are the same, but the Super Duty panels have the cut out for the Emergency Brake Release Handle.
The square around the pedals or pedals and tail gate switch does not come out. It's molded into the entire panel under the steering wheel. It just looks seperate, but on the back, there is no removing it without cutting the plastic with a dremmel or rasor.
