No, you can not. The 2.6" diameter body of the 6112 is too large. The only spring that really works on the 6112s sold for your vehicle are the springs they come with

No issues with rubbing with the 285/60/20? I currently have Fox 2.0 coilovers and I am running 275/60/20. The 285 is really a different tire. How's the ride?

it’s good . Especially compared to the puck level . Truck was ready for struts anyway so I opted for the strut assembly level

No rubbing whatsoever. I love the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs they are super quiet on the road. Better than any other AT tire I've had before.

Question for the guys who installed Bilstein 5100's (or similar) on or near the bottom index with a spacer. Why?

I understand the concept of not compressing the spring for a softer ride, but I also hear of people with a spacer only (or who had a spacer only) who say it rides horrible. Which is it?

Seems like everybody who has their 5100's indexed at the top with the full 2" of level agrees that it rides more firm but good, so why would you install these with a spacer?

I'm not sure those people are registering the firmed ride due to springs being more compressed, or because the damper is firmer. It makes more sense to be the latter as the spring is linear, so shouldn't change it's stiffness even though it's more compressed.

The spacer does not change the ride, same dampener and same spring.
It relocates the stock strut assembly lower in the chassis.

It would have to be both. Even linear springs get harder to compress, the more they are compressed. If they didn't, the Bilstein 5100's wouldn't lift the front of the truck.

I understand that. I'm reading about people with spacers only that say their truck has a poor ride - yet some are installing them with the 5100 on the OEM setting, or splitting the difference to get the height they want.

Let me rephrase. Is the ride quality with a 2" spacer and Bilstein 5100 on the bottom (lowest) setting, the same as a Bilstein 5100 on the top (highest) setting and no spacer, or is the ride difference negligible? Adding compression to the spring (increasing ride height) will make the ride more firm "on paper", but is it noticeable in the real world?

My thinking is that a spacer only level with ANY shock will deliver a softer, more compliant ride than the Bilstein 5100 on the top setting. Anyone who has gone from a spacer to the Bilstein 5100 to level their truck should know the ride difference.

I ask this because I'm going to get my truck set up this year with a level, wheels, and tires, and I'm also obviously thinking about the suspension controlling larger (heavier) tires, so firmer shock dampening might be necessary as well. I just don't want to feel like I'm driving a solid axle 1-ton.
