Retain your factory wheels by using our 0.25-inch wheel spacers [SKU: 1065].
  • Spacer kit does NOT work on models with stock ride height over 22in. [Measured from center of wheel to the bottom of the fender.]
  • 2015+ model trucks measuring over 22in should consider our 4in Lift Kit 55530.
  • Is yours over 22"?
Thanks for this. I have not measured mine regarding the 22", but it does not have a plow package and is not an FX4. I saw their 0.25" spacer recommendation, but it doesn't include tire sizes with that recommendation. I suppose maybe the spacer is so the rim doesn't contact the UCA, but my assumption was it was for the tire. That said, I think it would be better to go with a thicker spacer to get the wheels a bit closer to the fenders anyway. If anyone has advice for what spacer would be best with a 285/60r20 on a factory wheel, I'd love to hear. I do not want it to stick out past the fender, but not sucked in either.

The best way is to get some aftermarket wheels with a smaller offset, or some Raptor wheels with a +34, your OEMs are +44.
You could use a 1.25" spacer depending on if you have the pockets between the bolt holes on your OEM's. If no pocket, a 1.5" spacer would be needed. Now both of those options are assuming you don't want to trim the studs. I don't recommend cutting the studs, IMO just not the long term remedy.
I like the look of some of the OEMs, and understand what you're trying to do, and it could look good. You're only talking a 10mm difference in tire width, 5mm per side, which is close to that 1/4" spacer they recommend.
Did you call and talk in person to someone, or just email? I've found when having questions like yourself, you're usually better off talking to someone.

Just got the ridge grapplers and im pretty happy with them, super quite.

To those of you who went from a 275/55r20 to a 275/60r20, did you notice any loss of power or decrease in MPG? Pros/cons?

Just installed a Fox 2.0 on my 2015 Platinum and considering changing to this 1" taller tire...

Thanks.

Do it. 1” taller you won’t really notice, especially if you’re picking a 275/60/20 tire that’s the same load range as stock. If you pick an LT tire that’s a lot heavier, you’ll probably notice that more. Your stock tire weight is ~40lbs, you can find 275/60/20s that are also ~40 lbs, look for that if you’re worried about power loss/mpgs.

Thank you!

I had original Hankooks 275/55r20s, just purchased Bridgestone Revo 3's (275/55R20) and then installed Fox 2.0 level kit. Now considering the Goodyear UltraTerrain in 275/60r20. My tire shop will swap them for only difference paid. No reinstall fees and full credit on Revo's...

The Revo is 41lbs. and the UltraTerrain is 46 lbs.

Haven't heard anything but good on UltraTerrains. Have heard Revo's are great except for quicker than expected wear and few cases of "cupping".

I did the exact thing you're talking about with my '17. I hated the Handycacas, worst tire I ever had in the snow. Went to the UltraTerrains in your same size. No problems at all, I don't recall any difference in felt acceleration, handling in the wet and snow was about 1000% better.
BTW, that was with a 3:55 axle, if you have a smaller ratio, the results may vary.

I have 3:55's.

Thanks for your reply, it helps! I did the maths and it effectively changes my final ratio to 3.44 from original tire size to 275/60r20.

Ok here is my F150forum.com 15 seconds of fame. Here is my 2015 Platinum. 1st photo is all stock with stock Hankooks, tires wore out and stock shocks tired and wore out. 2nd is with Fox 2.0 installed with new 275/55r20 Bridgestone Dueler Revo 3. It just didn't look quite right, so I went back to the tire shop today. 3rd photo is with the Fox 2.0 and new 275/60/r20 Goodyear Wrangler UltraTerrains. Stock wheels and no spacers. I am happy with the UltraTerrains so far.

Got it looking nice, check out rear wheel well liners.
Something that finishes the truck, and in my opinion should have come from the factory.

Pic of mine with the rear wheel well liners.
