Good to hear that compressor worked for both of you, guess I’ll go ahead and order it. I have a small bench vice, I’m hoping that’ll do the trick to make the swap easier.

Just don't get the one from Autozone that looks like it should be a much better/stronger, but you get just about one use (one shock per straight tool) from it and that's only compressing to 1.5".

These spades should be perfectly straight and parallel to each other.

I used a 1/2” battery powered impact and it worked fine. I do worry about my CV angles now though as they do look pretty extreme and a a few weeks ago in Colorado while driving in 4A I could hear an audible increase in drive drain noise going to that from 2H. Not sure if it’s normal or not. No one else noticed it.
Don't worry about other people noticing it. No one knows your car like you do. While I had my cv out of the hub for my level I took the time to clean it out and add some bearing grease to the driver side which had been making some groaning noise. I haven't heard it since. I think this truck has original wheel bearings and IWEs (2019). At almost 90k (had it for 5k miles or so), I probably owe it some new rotating pieces. The re-greasing bought me some time but I lost the IWE-to-hub seal that comes from the heavy waxy bead on the IWE. If you look at a new on you'll know what I mean. So long story short, these are relatively easy to replace and worth it. Particularly since Ford is still making parts for it. My 20 year old TJ jeep on the other hand is screwed. Everything is either reman, or gucci custom machined. And you know what I'm buyin'!!

Jesus! The leverage working against that tool is horrible. The short-claw impact-driven compressors are way better. If you do more than a couple of these a year I'd recommend the Schwaben tool, if it will fit our springs. Sehr gut ist:

I wish i'd taken a picture of it before it was, um, adjusted. Same with the second unit i rented, i got one shock out of each tool, they were useless.
I learned how to better use the tool on the second go, and attempted to get more compression for a higher lift, but i confirmed that the tools physical limit was the 1.5" setting, compressing further just caused further bending instead of compression.

Default 2018 F150 leveling height

I have a 2018 F150 that i just bought, only 32000KM on the truck, i installed a 2.5 BDS level kit along with 35x12.5x20 BFG KO2 on the oem 20 inch sport wheels, after the install when measuring fender heights I am getting 40.5 inches front and 42 on the back, shouldn't the 2.5 make the truck level?
wondering why i still have an inch and a half rake?
now the truck does have airbags but the bags are completely empty, 0 psi...any thoughts?

Front measurement sounds right. Rear does not. Do you have a photo from the side, and maybe a photo of the leaf and block situation?

That looks level to me. You should be more like 40.5 in the back with those tires. Maybe when you measured you weren't on level ground side-to-side, and you measured the high side??
