Alright guys let me know what you think talked to my local 4wd store about a level the closest one to me is in Reading or Western NJ. I ended up crossing the river into NJ for the following quote. OK4wd is the shop.
Bilstein 6112 & 5160 with labor and alignment for just shy of $1,900.
Method 701 17x8.5 wheels and Toyo AT3 35x11.5R17 tires with new lug nuts and tpms sensors.
Package total $4,700.
*Unfortunately this stores policy is they will not install supplied products but they will price match* Stage 3 Motorsports who has this package listed at $900.
My goal is I’m looking to have the truck leveled for better off road handling on my way to the hunt stand. Windy / mountain Back roads, dirt roads, then simply trail through the woods on hunt club land. I’m not sure the 5100s will handle that.
The shop steered me into this package, I let them know I don’t want a puck spacer and he said they often recommend bilstein for those customers. They also sell icon, readylift, and BDS. BDS and Readylift have puck spacer levels and the Icons are just out of budget and seems like overkill for my application
Feedback welcome
Stage 3 is selling that Bilstein kit for 799 right now. It's 899 for the kit with the 6112 rears. I gotta say you're getting taken on the install and the product. This is why I decided to install my own kit and spend more on the product (see my post #3237 above). The fact that the 6112's need a larger spring compressor forced me to look at a vendor like ShocksSurplus where they sold the Bilsteins already assembled. But by that time I was in Fox/ Halo territory. Save yourself the money and do the install on your own. I did the fronts in less than 3hrs in my garage on jackstands with no powertools. I guess I had a Makita cordless impact but I only used it on my lugs. The backs were a little more difficult because of the big rear block but that's neither here nor there. I easily saved well over a grand in labor (I was quoted 800 plus tax for just the fronts). If you think you have the ability don't hesitate. Buy a good assembled coilover kit and put the rest of the money into the rims and tires. Here's a great video from Stage 3. you'll see the guy is using hand tools for everything and this includes swapping out the UCA.
Purchased a new 2019 F-150 SCrew 4x4 about two weeks ago. Got the 5.0 motor. I went ahead and did a pro comp 2.5” level kit and added some 20x9 Fuel wheels with Toyo 305/55/20 tires. I love how it came out. Got some window tint today as well so I added that pic too!
Before! After! Plus 5% tint on all windows except windshield After with adding windshield tint 30%. Looks dark from outside but it’s nice on the inside!
Truck looks great what is the wheel offset do the tires stick out any past the fender?
Got any updates on this?? I’m curious to hear what more research has gleaned for you.
Thank you all for the input here. Well I’m glad I found this forum so much great information
I hate to say it but I’ll be mirroring your setup i pre ordered the Halo Lift Aluma Mountain kit with UCAs, should ship mid-January. I also went with the raptor tapered rear blocks.
After speaking to Shawn he let me know about the superior aluminum build of the kit and the adjustment of 0-3inches is ideal. Corrosion resistance is a big factor in the kit for me. He convinced me to add the UCAs as this is something I was not planning on changing previously. I also found a more reputable off road shop that will install the kit for $500. I can’t wait for it to come in.
Yes this kit is more than the bilstein but I believe the build quality and the adjustability will suit my needs better
Wheels and tire combo to come later, slower build for me. Leaning toward Methods 17 inch wheels.

So glad to hear it. I'm positive you'll be satisfied as soon as you have the product in your hands. I think you made a good choice and I'm also happy to hear you found a shop to do work for a reasonable price. That must've been an eye opener when you got the quote! Nothing wrong with moving slowly either. I didn't have everything on the floor in my garage when I started. I only just got my rims and tires on this week. Between you and me, I'm probably going to add UCAs next as well.
Looking forward to see how your truck turns out and hearing your feedback.
Finally got the tires (295/60/20) and the level (2.5 AS and replaced rear block with 2") installed today. Now I need to move the wheels out slightly with spacers but not sure if adding spacers will make it rub? With the current setup the only rub I can find is when reversing and full lock. Any advice would be appreciated!
Can someone explain to me how Bilstein 5100s set at 2.1 are better for your suspension than say a 2” spacer? I’ve read that numerous times here and I’m having a hard time understanding how the angle of the cv shaft would be any different.
With 3” of rake and a rear fender over 40” I can’t decide whether to go with a 2” spacer, 2.5” spacer, or Bilsteins at 2.1. If there is tangible evidence that Bilsteins are easier on your suspension I’ll pay the $400. Otherwise I’ll probably just get a 2 or 2.5 spacer kit. I’d be shooting for 1/2” to 3/4” of rake when I’m done.
