I purchased my 2017 F-150 XLT from the dealer already had a "leveling kit" on it and 17" rims with 285/70/17 AMPs (stock rims are 18's (not sure how big but definitely sits a bit higher than my buddy's F 150 - Torn between doing Fox 2.0 Coil overs or ICON's coil overs... but the price is substantially different - I do mostly highway miles to and from work - I don't "Off-road - I.E. send it like those video of people launching their Raptors as if they were the real deal Baja rigs (If by"off-roading" - meaning when hunting season comes around especially bear season I'll be freighting the truck with a Grizzly 700 and 100-150lbs of equipment and bait on some roads that or more like a rocky goat path. Anyone have experience with either brand and have an opinion on one over the other?

They're both good products, but maybe take a look at Halolift. They used to be called F150 Lifts until they branched out for other brands. Less expensive, but very well built and reliable. I ran their coilovers and rear shocks on my 2012 F150.

Thanks for the response john

Do you know if it is needed or recommended to change out the control arms with after market ones to make up for any changes with the lifting. I know its messes with the alignment when you lift it but I can't seem to pin down if it an absolute necessity from one specific person. Just looked up the Halolifts and I'm finding them for about $1300 w/o CA and $1900 w/CA
Fox Stage 1 is $1039
Fox 2.0 Roush are $1250

I'm not looking for extreme off-roading - Just something better than stock that won't mess with my Max Trailering ability either - Plus the dealership says its got a leveling kit but I'd rather know I have quality parts in my suspension than just some like plates stuffed under the front end

Wow, I was off on that pricing!!
Sounds like you use your truck like I do mine. Best advice I could give about the UCAs, is take a look once you get it to the level you'd like. There's some guys on here that have gone 2 1/2" level with OEM UCAs, and haven't reported any trouble with hitting the coils.
Don't know why I didn't mention this earlier, but on this truck I'm using Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks, you can set them as low as OEM, or go 2" plus. That might be a good less costly way to go. I know I like mine.
They have a couple different models, 6112 is the other IIRC. Many of us on here use them, and most seem happy with them.

I had Rancho Quiklifts in my Ram and they were pretty good only gave me 1.5" but made a nice difference. I do like that the Halolift has the option of a "weather" wrap as the Rancho's finish didn't last in the Maine winter up here. For now at those prices it might have to wait until I put a little more away. Thanks for the input! I really appreciate it

Zero problem. As mentioned, I've got the Bilstiens. In the two winters I've had this truck, it's seen salt and crap around 3 times. My shocks were looking pretty bad, I took them off, cleaned them up, and shot them with clear paint. Hope that helps. With the Halos, I got that weather wrap, and it worked very well.

Cleaned her up today. I removed the 4x4 stickers on the back. I thought it was a little to busy. Leveled with 2" RC.

Im going to be leveling my truck soon. Going to be going with the Rough Country leveling kit. In terms of wheels, I have a sport package so it comes with 18s, but I got ahold of some platinum chrome wheels. Will be slapping those on there with some of road tires. What size spacer should I be using to get a flush fit or maybe even a little poke?

2" wheel spacer. Trust me on this. I just went through it. I was going to go 1.5, then I thought maybe 1.75, and was worried 2" would be too much, thne after finding some pics I went with 2"....sooooo glad I didn't get the 1.5 or 1.75
