Hey all, new member so please forgive me for something asked. I searched without finding.. Not sure if I'm just mentally challenged, which is possible, or I'm just missing something. I have a 2018 f150 xlt. I purchased the 2 inch RC strut spacer. I for the life of me, cannot figure out how to install. RC instructions make no mention about difficulty however that is all I have had. I removed the strut and bolted on the strut spacer. when doing such, you can only install the strut back into the truck backwards - meaning the front side is now backside and backside now front. The factory lower strut bar is angled towards the tires when its in its oem position. Installing the strut spacer, and rotating the whole strut 180 degrees, now has the bottom bar mount facing tire side into the truck. RC support has given me a different answer each time I've installed without success, yes, I've attempted this twice and re-installed each time back factory out of frustration. Option 1- spring compressor, rotate top hat 180. Option 2- place strut in vice with studs attached to bottom and push it forward to move the bar pin 180 back opposite way. I don't have a spring compressor, and I've attempted the latter without the bar pin moving. they claim it will move. I've wd 40 the bushing without it moving. SOOO am I challenged, missing something or should I just go with a rancho quick lift. Seems nice but at 400 for two struts pricey. Has anyone had these issues? I installed the strut back in backwards but noted when attaching the uca the ball joint hits the spring when its jacked up. I supposed I could make it work that way. will the uca come off the spring when there's weight back on with the tire and truck down? I'm afraid if I hit a bump it would hit the spring. I'm hoping I'm just missing something here. I apologize for the long rant and questions. Forums like these are amazing in helping us mechanically challenged folks. Thanks again.

Have you tried swapping the spacers to the other strut ?
For example do you have the right spacer on the left strut and vice versa ........

I have only tried on side this far, didn't think about switching sides. Not sure if that would work. I was hoping someone on here installed this particular brand and could tell me how their install went. Thanks for helping!

As already mentioned there are lots of "how to step by step installations" on Youtube. If you can't find the answer to your dilema my advice is perhaps to purchase a different brand such as Readylift, BDS Suspension, etc. that provide those Youtube instructions. Wish you the best success in finding a solution.

Paid a moonlighting Ford tech $250 to do mine including alignment. Not very mechanically minded, sorry can’t be of any help there. Hopefully someone that’s installed them will chime in. Real pleased with the end result of the RC 2” spacers though.
