On down the highway

Maybe I forgot to mention above. All 3 are leap years above stock. Fox we're ok ish but over rated. Like buying a North face coat. Buying a label and the coat sucks.
Bilstein 6112s. Better than fox but needs a better coil. Way to much body roll on highway off ramps and horrible on a stretch of bad hwy buy my house.
Halos are the street King and medium off-road. Same off ramps with zero body roll and road with the crappy hwy rides like butter.
I'm guessing it's the spring rate they use.
Can't vouch for icons or any other brand, or for heavy offroading although Chicago streets may qualify.
I read most the reviews but learned for myself.

On my 2018 STX, the stock ride was lacking rebound significantly. The ride felt willowy and pogo stick-like at times. The 6112's helped with this issue although rear shocks are needed to completely fix the ride quality.

With that thin of tire, do you feel every bump or road mess? I understand what low profiles feel like on Corvettes, BMWs, Mustangs.. having owned all of them.. but never been in a truck with low profile tires.

As for the ride, the proxes are much better than 33” off road tires. They are a street tire and are much softer. However, they are still rated for 2900 lbs.
On my f250 I had 20x10 wheels and 305 55 20 procomp extreme all terrains. When they wore out my friends that were running the proxes talked me into getting them and I picked up a set in 305 50 20. It was a world of a difference. Felt like I was riding on a cloud.

I wouldn’t consider this a low profile tire. 305 45 22 is 32.8” tall by 12” wide. Literally more tire on this than 33” toyo All terrains. Those are only 32.5”, and they are the tire I was going to go with originally. I live in Florida, and have no real need for off road tires. The proxes are a better ride, $600 cheaper, quieter, and in my opinion, they look really good. It was a no brainer.
