Do you have which wire you tapped into on the column and the console?Colors?
No unfortunately I didn't document that, and to be honest I was concerned about making a mistake and someone burning up their truck. Another reason is because I had already modified my column harness to install the Raptor paddle shift so my harness was already modified.

Its not really complex. There are two wires for the mode switch and three for +/- shift one of those are a common, you can see them on connector from my picture of the column shifter above.

The other connector is for the shift logic. There is switch on the shifter that engages when the shifter is pulled towards the driver when the key is in the on position. This activates the solenoid on the shifter which allows it to move. The equivalent to that on the floor shift is the button on the forward part of the shift lever that has both a mechanical and electrical lockout same as the column shift.

Left my 502a lariat at dealership for minor repairs the loaner was a column shift 18 with the console. Hand found the shifter OK truck moved when put in gear and liked the idea of more console room minus the shift handle. Install a console yes go for it, relocate shifter na it ain't worth the trouble.

Default 2018 F150 column shift to floor shift

I am about to change my 2018 F150 XLT from a Column shift and jump seat to a floor shift and counsel. I bought a counsel from a 2018 Platinum that has the shifter, cable, and wire harness. Do I need to change the mounting brackets? or will the seat brackets work? Thanks for you write up on this conversion, If you can think of anything else I might to know to complete this project please let me know.

Thanks again,
Patrick

The seat brackets & console brackets are the exact same, so you're good to go with that.

One thing to add to that. If I recall the bolts go into a different holes on the bracket and they are a different size. Sorry I don't remember what size.

So you have a console with a column shift and you don't need a console?

Is the truck a 6 speed or a 10 speed auto?

What year truck, 6 speed or 10 speed? The shifter, cable and part they call lower panel is different. The cluster doesn't make a difference.
