Hints, Tips and Tricks
Awesome work, thanks. You can link directly to individual posts via the link in the upper-right corner of the post, too (e.g. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/hints...2/#post5572714 for your post with the compilation of tips).
I've been running led headlights for several months now as the standard headlights on my 2005 crewcab are sub par for people who don't see well at night. the transformation is amazing. these are white lights and vision is better than anything I have ever seen. signs light up twice as far away. these run hot enough to have cooling fans built in. if they hold up this is the way to go.I will never go back to standard. p.s. you never have to use high beams!
I learned something (Maybe-do you mean to say they have primary light from LED's or are you talking about the sexy led rings around the module?) but I do stand by fact that based "my personal experience" xenon's are my choice beyond halogens. My Tundra has halogens and when we drive our xenon's the H-4's are like an old $5 sealed beam in comparison. BRIGHT & WHITE!!!
It's a fact that xenon's are very pricey and overpriced too.
But also look at how much truck & gizmo's(like tailgates, seats, etc., with stuff/glitter many of us don't desire all over them & logo's of ranchero's & such) that I am forced to buy (beyond a loaded XLT I ordered) to get a Ford w/LED HL's! the discussion ,r.e. LED HL's is forced by Forad to be way beyond the "which HL topic"!!!
Fact:
LED's will not replace any other HL type until they are made available in a way that does not require buying a truck or car that cost over $50-60k.

So, I have a question, and Im expecting to get eaten alive for this.....and I have read countless hours on this thread, but.....whats the best recommendation for a device to use with Forscan? The market is flooded with different options, and I figure this would be a good place to ask, being many folks have used different devices. This would be on a 16 F150 XLT with the larger radio screen. Thanks
This is the cheap one recommended by Livnitup -
