So, I have a question, and Im expecting to get eaten alive for this.....and I have read countless hours on this thread, but.....whats the best recommendation for a device to use with Forscan? The market is flooded with different options, and I figure this would be a good place to ask, being many folks have used different devices. This would be on a 16 F150 XLT with the larger radio screen. Thanks
I got the following two items and use a windows 10 laptop. I have made several changes and have not had any problems what so ever. Never had to flip a switch to get it to work either.

I have used this same combo for almost two years now
Same here... But word is out that Bluetooth isn't going to be the way to go in the future if you want to be able to do firmware updates. Going to need a wired connection to be on the safe side.
Double pressing the traction control button slowly enables Advance Track Sport Mode . It is often overlooked and is different than simply putting the truck in sport mode. I never really noticed any difference with it or understood its purpose until this week and it's now my favorite drive-ability feature. It should be called Canada Mode. It completely transforms the ride in deep snow. Here is my breakdown of what to expect in deep snow in inner city driving conditions, particularly at junctions.
With traction control enabled (Nanny mode): in 2H, 4A or 4H when traffic lights turn from red to green expect broad power loss across all wheels the instant any tire slips even a little bit. Which can be very frustrating when trying to make the worlds shortest green left turn arrows or trying to clear a 4 way stop quickly.
With traction control disabled (Fun mode): in 2H, 4A or 4H when traffic lights turn from red to green expect to go nowhere if you accidentally accelerate too much or find yourself on a little bit of ice or doing 4 wheel drive donuts intentional or not.
Advance track sport enabled (Canada mode): in 2H, 4A or 4H it greatly increases the threshold before power loss to all wheels. It allows for a fair bit of slip in case if you are on ice or accelerated too quickly by accident. It is much more forgiving and provides the perfect amount of traction for winter at city speeds in poor conditions.
I have been playing with all of these settings over the last week now that lots of snow has arrived in my region. Enabling advance track sport is now the first thing I do before putting on my seat belt or turning on the radio.

Yes sport mode is great. But that's not what I'm talking about. Advance Track Sport mode is different and is often overlooked. Advance track sport mode can be used with 'S' Mode.
The Sport mode you are talking about just changes the transmission shift points and rpm ranges.
