Factory sub
Done installing the SUB. Sounds great. I have never heard SONY or Kicker so can't really compare. Enabling sub via FOrscan opens up the sound system. Very crisp and a lot of bass from front speakers as well. I am seriously considering upgrading all other speakers to enjoy its full potential.
I did not use the extra power cable and used the one which i part of wp1212. Install is easy. I blasted the sub at almst full volume and only registered 4 amps at the +ve power input. I am leaving the 10 Amp fuse . Let me know if anyone has any questions. Also was able to route the remote gain ****

I was too excited to report back and did not have a chance to do a long test drive . However, I started and stopped engine many times while music was on and never heard any thud. Will report back today . Connector is on your elbow level inside of rear left seat belt trim. Not sure if you can make out in the picture. Don't be shy to pry open ( I used a tool)

Your other option would be to have your dealer enable via IDS. Not sure the cost as I never requested a quote.

No access to Windows, Mac, or Linux? If Mac or Linux you can install virtual box and run a (free) windows instance in it. Microsoft makes widows virtual machine appliances available for 90 days (free). These were intended for Internet Explorer integration testing.
