My update worked fine today, took about 20 minutes for the nav maps to show up. Got a little worried, then they appeared and all is working as fast as ever.

Default Did I Screw Up?

So i downloaded the files for non nav to my USB drive and unzipped the folders. I plugged it into my 2016 F150 XLT and the display showed it was doing a system update. After about 8-10 minutes it sayed it was complete and successful.

No nav, no updated version number. I'm still rocking Sync 3 version 1.0.

I tried to do it again and received an "Installation failed" error message. "The installation has run out of space or does not work with this version."

HELP! I'm driving out to Austin Texas from Colorado on Tuesday and would love to take advantage of this update! I even did a Master Reset of the system but didn't help.

Thanks all.

For anyone holding out for the CarPlay USB hub with the blue illumination (like me), my dealer told me that the supplier hopes to have them shipped by 2/10/17. If you can find stock somewhere else, consider yourself lucky (and PM me the info!)

For anyone wanting the white illumination Walt Sweeney (listed 2 posts above) has lots of stock as of this posting. It may be readily available other places as well.

Greg, for non-Nav units, you should have 2 files, and must perform the update 2 times. Look at the readme file that came with your non-Nav download. Do the first update with File 1. Then do another update with File 2. Again, study the readme file. It's all in there.

NON-Nav is 2 parts. Load first via thumbdrive, then go back to your computer, format the thumbdrive, extract the part 2 files to the thumbdrive, go back to your truck, start it, put thumbdrive in, should take about 10 - 30 minutes or so. Once you get the message "successfully installed" remove the thumbdrive and turn the truck off for about 10 - 15 minutes. Then start it and check the Sync version number.
Part 1, took about 25 minutes or so for me, part 2 took about 10-15 minutes for me.
Good luck

^ Exactly
Guess I was posting when you were, good advice to read the README file, I did and had zero issues with the install.
