Current SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information
There seems to be some post processing of the NAV map data. Just give it some time after the upgrade. The maps will then load. To cycle the system just turn off the truck and open the door. That kills the power. Best to just lock it up and come back in a bit. All should be there.
Hope this isn't off topic, but I did the upgrade with no problems. Thanks to jm061!
Android auto launched without a hitch and worked fine. Got back in vehicle a couple hours later and now get message "SYNC cannot initialize Android Auto. Please check device settings." Found a thread on a Focus forum that suggested USB cable as the culprit. Anybody else run into this problem?

Ford.
All jm061 has done is make an official Ford release (v2.2) more widely available.
I have had apps disappearing from SYNC like that since v1.0 so I doubt these bugs have been introduced in 2.2. And they almost certainly have nothing to do with the update procedure that jm061 has provided us.

I posted this in another thread, thought I would share.

One good change that I'm already liking is the display of the XM channel number and name across the top bar. With 98.56% confidence I want to say that previously it only displayed "XM Preset 1" or something like that.
Now if the new hub would only come off of backorder so I can play with CarPlay!
BTW, since folks have been asking for other mirrors and apparently didn't see my earlier posts, here they are:
