I think I need to go get a better USB cable because the apps do not pick up AA when I am connected by USB. I went into the AA settings on the Sync3 and it is enabled. I did see on my phone settings that the settings for USB connected are:
Charging only
File Transfer
Photo Transfer
MIDI
and another option for troubleshooting when connected to a PC

Any ideas which setting I should have it on? It's a Samsung Galaxy Edge 6 Plus cell.
Thanks in Advance and great job getting this update posted.
Tom
Have it on the MIDI setting. I switched mine to that and AA booted right up.

Agreed!! AA is as good as I was hoping it would be. And I also finally have stability playing music from Spotify.

For those that aren't aware, AA will also display your offline Google maps (which makes sense since your phone is doing all the processing anyway).

This allows you to have Google maps even when you do not have cell coverage. Very nice for long road trips which I will be taking starting tomorrow.

Sorry, I've been searching for the exact install procedure..

At first, it appeared to just download the file to a blank USB stick, plug into the hub and start the truck.

Now I'm reading we have to unzip the file? Then I'm reading remove the first stick and install the second?

Can someone proved the the install procedure?

Thanks in advance.

Download the file and unzip it on your computer. There's a readme file, this covers the installation in detail. But basically you copy the files over to the thumb drive and stick it in the truck with it running. The key is the structure, which is covered in the readme.

I can read, so no need for the smart $SS comments in your response to my question. My point is it says non nav and I see all of these comments saying I uploaded the file and they all say they have nav in their truck, so thats why I was a little confused, especially when I see that the members have platinum, limited, and Lariats in the profile and last time I checked their is very very few Lariats and probably no platinum or limited that did not come with a factory installed nav in their truck.

I use the owner.ford.com account to track my maintenance/mileage. And the truck has an oil life meter, which I do use.

As a side the cell module will only add remote starting and locking, there's no tracking.
Does the "cell module" you speak of require a yearly fee? For remote start?

Just curious but do you believe that when Ford finally releases this will they charge for it or will it be an OTA upgrade?
If they are going to charge I will try and tackle it but if it will be free I will wait.
Really not wanting to screw up my brand new truck.
