Same issue here. The map won't load. How did you recycle the system? Do you mean to pull the battery?

 

For Sync 3 it said to hold down the search up arrow and then hold down the power button. This gave me a soft reset that brought maps back up.

 

I'd just like to thank everyone who is contributing to this. You guys/gals are great.

I'm having an issue that I can't get CarPlay working. I did the install the other day for version 2.2 on a Nav 2016 Lariat. So far I haven't had any issues and the install took about 20 min. Today I received the new hub. Pulled the old hub out and installed the new one. Plugged my phone in and nothing. I installed part # GJ7Z-19A387-B. Is there anything I am suppose to be doing to get CarPlay to come on? Any help would be great!!

Where should we post the bugs that we find? For example, the Applications (Ford Pass and Glympse) showing up but then (10-30 seconds) disappearing from the NAV screen and not being able to connect to them? Pandora appears to work. This is when connected to Android Auto or just connected to SYNC. both appear to unload.

This doesn't quite fit the failure to load but does skirt the failing to load, so uncertain where to send these bugs.

 

Just wanna thank Jm061 for making this happen. I did the upgrade on the weekend and am loving it. Been waiting for this since I bought the truck in May. You the man!!!

 

Just did this exact thing on my 16 Lariat on Saturday. Working fine for me with a little problem-solving.
I gave a soft reset to the Sync 3 and powered down my Iphone 6.
I then told both the phone and Sync to forget each other in the bluetooth settings.
Then I made sure that Carplay was turned on under the iphone settings. Turned the vehicle on (in accessory mode) and plugged it in. It was acting a little funky, connecting/disconnecting repeatedly. Finally I used the lightning cable that came with the phone to ensure that I had a good licensed cord and everything has been rock solid since.
Resynced the bluetooth. Working like a champ so far

 

Ok. Well after letting my truck sit for 10 min shut off. Got back and and now it works. 😉

All jm061 has done is make an official Ford release (v2.2) more widely available.

I have had apps disappearing from SYNC like that since v1.0 so I doubt these bugs have been introduced in 2.2. And they almost certainly have nothing to do with the update procedure that jm061 has provided us.

 

anyone else hosting this? I got one Non-nav file says decompression failed but it looks like it downloaded and now the link is timing out. Still downloading the 2nd file but at 268kb/sec... Using a mac.
