Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've had this happen as well. I don't like how I can have the radio off, plug my iPhone in for carplay, and then when I disconnect my iPhone it always turns on FM. Everytime I plug in my iPhone it maxes out my phone ringtone, so useful. Perhaps Ford is delaying the official release to address all these bugs we've found.

I've learned never to buy a truck based on a promise for updated software. How many different times has Ford said the official update was going to be released by summer, then fall, then late Q4 2016? Happy 2017 New Year Ford Sync devs.

 

I read back about 10 pages on here and most discussions are regarding the software upgrades. I'm interested in anyone who has recently ordered the hardware. Stock levels ok or any delays in ordering/backorder? Whats the popular place to get this now...

I'm finally tired of waiting for Ford and ready to get the hub on my own. I have the 2.0 software pre-loaded from Factory.

Looks like just the white lighted hub is available. Walt Sweeney Ford I think must've cashed in all their chips on them as they have endless quantities. I ordered mine earlier this week, just waiting for arrival. I actually think the white light might even look nicer than the blue just to break up the blue on that lower level a little bit.

Supposedly the blue ones are due in mid February, but like anything else Ford's promising, I don't want to rely on a promise date.

 

I am still having issues getting the file to download from any of the link in this post. It starts downloading and then stops. Is there something I am doing wrong? I have tried this at work and at home with the same results. Please help!!

I did the update i still need to change out the USB hub but i don't see apple carplay in the settings menu will that show up after the hub is replaced? Android auto shows up but not the other? i ordered part GJ7Z-19A387-B and will have by the end of the day just didnt want to install if i still have other issues

 

Yes it will show up after the hub is replaced.

 

Thats where I got my hub they were fast shipping also.

 

I have a question for you guys. If you play pandora or something then pause the music, what happens? Does it switch back to sirius/fm or does it just pause with silence? Sometimes mine switches back and sometimes not. I wish it switched back every time.

 

on your phone go into settings, sounds and turn off "change with buttons" under Ringer and Alerts. This will eliminate the max volume ringer issue but it causes the "volume" setting to go to max. Not sure what all the volume is for, but this is much better than the ringer for me.
