APIM Module replacement?
Average wait time seems to be 3 weeks for the part from my experience and others I have seen on here. They are always back-ordered, but what it sounds like is your service center never actually ordered them. I had mine installed today and it fixed all the issues I was having. I'm hoping it stays that way......
So I got my truck back from the dealership looking to diagnosis my issue. They were able to duplicate my issue but didn't get much further. The tech was trying to reprogram with my original values (I guess) but wasn't able to because I swapped in a Focus radio for the HD stations. I advised him it doesn't matter because when this happened last year, the original radio was in the truck. So now I have to swap my original cd player in and turn off the HD line code. I will bring it back in next week so they can go through their process again.
Hello all,
New to the forum and this is my first Ford product.
My 2018 F150 is in the shop for the second APIM replacement. The first round I dropped the truck off on 1/3 and picked it up on 2/13. In the shop for 41 days. The new APIM functioned fine for about 3 days and then the screen went black. I was informed that this time around should only take about 2 weeks.
I am now left without a dog transporting / boat towing vehicle. Boat is on the other side of the Dallas metroplex... thankfully my Centurion boat dealer stated they will deliver my boat to my storage facility. 40 miles one way. That’s customer service!
Our regional Ford representative is not the greatest with communicating even when he states that he is going to follow up with a call on a specific day.
The Ford dealership has done their best to communicate and Ford Motor Co does not seem to care. Is this normal out of Ford?

I got my truck back on Friday with the second APIM. I think my third certified letter to Ford and informing them that I filed a complaint with the state got their attention. From what I have read, the APIM has been an issue for about 3+ years. If that is the case it is sad that they have not resolved these issues or have been able to improve their workflow to cut the wait times for warranty claims.
Amazing how patient everyone is with Ford.
