When my Service Advisor checked in with me on Wednesday, he said he was told the part was off BackOrder and mine had shipped. Then it arrived Friday Morning. He had been checking every 1 to 2 days over the last few weeks. I was assuming when they say it is off backorder, it is not just mine, but the part in general. I have found through the years though that service varies dramatically between dealers. I am blessed to have 3 Ford Dealers within 9 miles of my house. I use the one furthest away as they have proven to be the best. They take the best care of my trucks, and they seem to be the best with communication and customer service.

Hello all,
New to the forum and this is my first Ford product.
My 2018 F150 is in the shop for the second APIM replacement. The first round I dropped the truck off on 1/3 and picked it up on 2/13. In the shop for 41 days. The new APIM functioned fine for about 3 days and then the screen went black. I was informed that this time around should only take about 2 weeks.
I am now left without a dog transporting / boat towing vehicle. Boat is on the other side of the Dallas metroplex... thankfully my Centurion boat dealer stated they will deliver my boat to my storage facility. 40 miles one way. That’s customer service!
Our regional Ford representative is not the greatest with communicating even when he states that he is going to follow up with a call on a specific day.
The Ford dealership has done their best to communicate and Ford Motor Co does not seem to care. Is this normal out of Ford?

If you get Premiumcare for Ford ESP it's covered, it in their documentation. FYI, my wife fusion's APM display with south last year and it was covered. We have Ford ESP with PremiumCare.
