So after about two weeks after my second APIM replacement, it is acting up again. The screen will go in the settings and try to change the time. Also it will go to the navigation map and move the map all over the place. I will be dropping off the truck at the dealership on Wednesday after showing the SA the video of what it is doing.

Sounds like something is setting off the touchscreen. It wouldn't be an APIM problem more than likely. This tends to happen when its not quite mounted properly. The metal frame may be touching the screen or the bezel may be pushing on it. It may not appear that way but its a possibility. Seen it happen before.

Just bought a 2016 Platinum and the very next day had issues with the touchscreen unit being completely unresponsive, laggy, etc. Brought it to the dealership, and as you'd guess, it's a bad APIM module. They can't tell me how long it'll take to get the part in since it's a special order part and on backorder. Any idea how long these have been taking to get from Ford?

Anywhere from 1 to 8 weeks. Depending on the dealership, mine took 2 weeks.

Thought about doing this. How difficult was the repair?

Maybe 2-4 hours at most (for a dealership). Most humans, an hour or two.
