I placed the HDMI and USB interfaces on the passenger side of the center console on the silver trim that runs from the HVAC vent to the floor. Mine are below the top line of the console. Will try and post pics this weekend.

I have to pull the dash apart again this weekend. My Rostra interface module is not showing up in the APIM Apps screen. USB will charge a device so I know it has power. Perhaps something pulled lose when reassembling. Was a late night when I finished and did not have time to troubleshoot.

I placed the front activation button on the driver knee panel just below the push to start button.
I'm putting the button on top of the dash in front of the center speaker area.

Putting the HDMI/USB in the glove box.

Wish you had a pic now before I fully commit to the glove box...

Not the center console, rather the silver trim piece that is an extension of the passenger side HVAC vent, down past the center console. You probably don't have this trim.

Nope...I have the CHEAP RC (Another Member called RCs CHEAP) interior.

Thanks for the quick replies-->

The reason I'm placing the Button on top of the dash is for easy access to it while driving since my hand would already be at that height.

Will post pics tomorrow-->

Hi all,

For the activation button, I'm planning on using the OEM 360 camera button. (For that "OEM look"... :-))

For the ACC+12V I'm planning to use the wires that goes to the 12V cigarette lighter plug. What did you used ?

Good idea on the 360 button. I guess I would need to get the new trim piece and the button... and either a plug for the hole I drilled or a new knee kick panel.

When I spoke with Rostra support, they said the 12V+ from the button would work to power the cameras. I just didn't want to have the cameras hot all the time when wired to ACC power.

Have to thank jdroller for saving me the nightmare of trying to figure out why cables would not plug into their correct locations-->

The Rostra manual has a wrong wiring diagram, the correct one is on the module...I have another problem to deal with so I scratched the install for today.

I suppose the 12V output for the button may work to power the camera, I have not tested it but it may...

But I guess that it will be powered in sync with the ACC...

So unfortunately, the camera will be ON all the time the truck is live...

Correct me if I'm wrong...
