We have a new firmware that will fix the Ford Park Assist issue. If you have park assist please contact our support and obtain the files to perform the update. NOTE: Do not share firmware as we will create a file specifically for your interface box. If you install a firmware package from somewhere other than directly from us you will void your warranty.

If you have SYNC3 with navigation we have a different hardware solution that will be replacing the existing interface box. Please contact support with your VIN so we can confirm the configuration and send you the replacement hardware. The new hardware is only needed on SYNC3 with navigation.

Support is 888-844-9763 option 1.

Camera Source, do you have a mount that would allow the cameras to adjust more vertically? This is the #1 reason I wanted mirror mount cameras, to see traffic in the next lanes. I had a 2012 Honda Accord with mirror mounted on the passenger side, you could see everything in the right lane several cars back, this is what I want/need.

The adjustment does not allow for a vertical aim towards the oncoming vehicles in the lanes next to the truck. the best I get is in the picture, mostly the ground close to the truck.

What I see with the camera at max vertical adjustment:

What I wanna be able to see with the camera, The White S-10 & Beyond:

To all please take note that you should install your side cameras in a flat portion of your mirror so that it is not angled down toward the ground. There is only so much adjustment on the camera swivel to point upward so pay special attention to this detail. We are fixing Harley up with some brackets to fix his problem but typically you won't need them if there is a level section under your mirror.

Here's the bracket if you ever need them:

Well, I'm very happy...Chris immediately helped me to find a solution for MY problem...This is the type of business that I wish all businesses would operate like...

The cameras are great & I'll give my review after I receive the new brackets...I can report that the functions L-R-F-B work as intended, the Front comes on when going from Reverse to Drive, both turn signals work when signaling. The resolution is very good.

I don't really see a place to mount that is not tapered on my Non-Towing Mirrors, may have to provide 2 different brackets in the future??...Also, I don't think it matters but mine is a 2017??

camera-source,

You mentioned that you typically don't need the brackets for the side mirrors. It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks like HuskerHarley had the side cameras installed in the bottom cover per TexasFording's instructions. If I follow the instructions, will I need the brackets? Thanks again!

That is exactly what was used for install (TexasFording's instructions)...The pop-out cover/s is a perfect location, un-noticeable, easy to access. If ya wanna use the cameras for the same reason I wanted them, My bet would be ya need a bracket like the one in the 1st pic, Or maybe try and mount toward the outer edge of the Mirror Housing??

Not sure if Pics will be of any help or not???

Bracket being shipped to me

The next Pics show the angle of the lens at max verticle.

I see what you're saying. We have been selling the side cameras for a while and oddly this topic has not ever come up but I can certainly see your point. Perhaps as you get toward the tip of the mirror the surface is flat? Sorry I've been tied up and haven't had time to walk out and look at one. If not, then use the brackets because if it's not flat you won't get the angle you need. The brackets are on our site:

https://camera-source.com/accessorie...a-bracket.html

Also, it may be a pain to install toward the tip of the mirror because of the disassembly etc. Just depends on whether you want the bracket hanging down from your mirror or if you want to get the camera as tight to the surface as possible.

My 17 XLT mirror housing tapers downward all the way to the outside edge, it appears to be less than the removable plate.

A feature I'd like to see is the ability to turn on the L or R camera W/O activating the turn signals. This feature was/is available in a Honda we once owned and was great. If I wanna prepare myself to get over but not at the time I'm checking, the turn signal makes whoever is next to ya think yer gonna change lanes at that time.

So far I'm very happy with the system, just need the other Brackets.

So this is interesting. I received my replacement kit for Sync3 w/ Nav trucks from camera-source yesterday. It's supposed to fix the GPS problems some of us were having. Turns out it's a whole new system, made by Rostra. I haven't installed it yet but it claims to show up as an 'App' in the 8" screen and allows for touchscreen manual activation of the cameras, as well as an HDMI connector to display video from your phone or any HDMI compatible player. Overall I think it's going to be a nice improvement.

Here's some more data on it: http://www.rostra.com/ford-sync3-bli...ont-camera.php.

Thanks camera-source for your continued oustanding customer service and products!
