Everything works fine if you do not have heated or cooled seats. You will need to make a couple of Forscan changes, that are documented in this thread. Other then that totally plug and play.
Mike
I just did this swap, and the rear and side mirror defrost has stopped working.
Or I’m retarded and needed to start the truck. Ugh. All good, other than the heated seats.

I recently did the xlt to lariat bezel swap and noticed my ambient temperature is at 49 degrees and outside its 69 degrees. Will it reset itself after driving it for a bit. Thanks

I figured it out. Wasn't a problem at all, I just didn't wait long enough for the ambient air temp sensor to adjust after making the APIM changes.
Nice truck btw...

Reason: Misspelling
All, i am going to work on a separate switch and board for the seat heaters, as they are not 12v, but more like 2.5-5 volt, so we need a regulator to get the voltage down. will post updates here, and maybe in the process i'll figure out how to tap into the switches on on the lariat bezel to control the new board. It will be more primitive and not have can bus monitoring that the board Fiasco17 was working on, but I think i can make it work so we don't lose our heated seat.
I wonder if anyone has found a wiring harness for the SCME under the passenger seat out of a Lariat. I don't have any good junk yards by me to go and try to get one.
I have been on this mission for the past 2 months. I have an 18 xlt which had a 4" screen with sync and backup camera. I started by doing the console swap and then decided I wanted a platinum interior. Got the interior in and installed. Seats moved after some wiring and I was happy. Then I wanted more. So I got.the wiring diagrams for everything, started repinning harnesses adding harnesses and routing wires to their modules. I had the phoenix android stereo installed so I contacted them and made sure I could upgrade to sync 3 after I converted. Called a yard in florida to purchase a gen 4 apim non nav programmed to a platinum vin. Purchased the conversion Harness from an ebay seller and bought an 8" screen to accommodate my bezel I purchased awhile back for the auto climate controls. Got everything in hooked up and installed. After hrs of headaches I finally got everything programmed in forscan to where the only DTC I have is related to losing communication with park assist module a. My seats massagers work just like they should from sync3 controls or side controls. However I cannot seem to get them to heat or cool. My module list is not showing dsm or dcsm I am showing the scmg and scmh. The as built from the donor truck for the seats show a dsm and dcsm. I dont know what else to do from this point. I removed the modules under the seat and am fixing to try to add them as new hardware soon. Meanwhile during all of this i am dealing with locating a parasitic drain after the recent install of a 8" lcd cluster. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Oh yea I just removed the auto ac because I was tired of the way it heated up so quickly if you moved anything from the most coldest setting. It would read 63° and be blistering hot. It had to go. So i installed my phoenix android radio with everything. Just no heat or cooled seats yet.
Hey! I am so glad I came across a thread where people mod a lot of things!
I read your post and I feel you went through what I am going through, and I can’t seem to find my way out.
I am getting several codes after changing 4.2 screen to 8 inch screen, adding new bezel (FCIM) to fit the screen screen and adding TCU for Sync connect. All parts I got are off a 2017 302a F150 with heated seats, heated rear window and parking sensors. I have 2018 XLT 301 package (no parking sensors, no heated seats, only heated side mirrors, and back up camera). I made so many changes in FORSCAN and I cant get rid of all DTCs, except I was able to get rid of the APIM DTC about parking assist module A (the one you said you cant get rid of). Anyway, any help with these is much appreciated. I don’t have much experience with this but I think these DTCs can cause damage over time......
I am getting the following codes on ForScan:
*instantly upon clearing DTCs*:
On APIM:
U0159 Lost communicatino with parking assist control module A
*** Resolved this somehow by changing FCIM VIN to my VIN using ABS values, and by changing APIM 7D0-01-01 2A2A 0406 0037 to 7D0-01-01 2206 0406 00xx)
*instantly upon starting the vehicle*
On FCIM:
B1038 Left Front Seat Heater Sensor (additional fault system circuit short to battery or open)
B130A Right Front Seat Heater Sensor (additional fault system circuit short to battery or open)
After driving for a while:
On FCIM:
U0155 Lost communication with IPC
U0253 Lost communication with APIM
U0401 Invalid data recieved from ECM/PCM A
U0452 Invalid data received from restraints control module
I was able to clear up the parking assist code, but I am dead stuck on the rest

I upgraded my ipc to the 8" lcd and had all.kinds of wacky stuff like that. I ended up using a bunch of different upper trim level as builts from their vin. Copart can do wonders! You should have saved your as built for your original state before ever changing anything...at least then you have something to restart with. Alot of times i had to do it in little bits. Change as builts. Refresh modules, disconnect reconnect and not use a saved profile. Start a new profile. It took me forever. In leui of all this i purchased a floor and dash harness for everything to properly work together. I grounded out one of my modules. On the seat and it would drain me by next day.
So i said hell w it...im hoping maybe something i mentioned may help. It can get nerve wracking quickly.
Can you provide the exact part number of the basil? Where you purchased? How much? I’m trying to do same I have a single mode climate control which I would like to display on sync. I have made mod with forscan that just displays the fan speed and temp change doesn’t show actual temp. I have added the heated seat to the screen so my assumption is that I will not loose this if I change out the basil. Please message me.
