Even if someone were to say "the train leaves Wednesday and it will be on it" - or something, but the answer I get is "Wait more"

If this goes another week the answer to them will be something like "Make a commitment, or I walk" I am ok with waiting - but only if I know when. So they told me 2-4 weeks, I'm not waiting another 4 weeks beyond what was originally committed by the dealer.

Unfortunately, we do not know ahead of time when shipments are shipped out. All we see is "Awaiting Shipment" and then "In Transit" once it's on the move. The ETA will be updated once the status changes to "In Transit." All ETA's are subject to change, as they are estimates, and there are many variables out of our control during transit (mechanical and weather delays, waiting for a truck or train to be full before shipping out, ect.)

Please be aware that COTUS is a beta program that has not been rolled out for public use, and has not been set up for 2016 vehicles, so information may be incorrect or missing.

So they are overnighting your truck? That's what cotus says. That'd be a heck of a FedEx delivery! Totally kidding & that stinks

possibilities i could see:
  1. truck shows up unexpected
  2. truck had line issue and is being repaired
  3. bedliner / wheel well install?
  4. canada customs?
  5. logistics issue or damage during rail shipment

cotus still has a day left, and from common core math we've seen on it, trucks are being delivered 1~2 days after counter reaches zero.

My dealer warned me that rail transport is the largest variable in wait time for custom orders. Seems like it, especially canada orders, as some are delivered in under 10 days while others disappear in the system for weeks at a time. Hang in there.

PS: i'd take screen shot of cotus, and at minimum wait until 2~3 days after counter reaches zero before threatening to walk.

So when it switches to 'in transit' the date under 'awaiting shipment' is the ship date, correct? Or is that the 'as of now will be sitting in rail yard' date?

I have read that some folks are able to get tracking info from their dealerships, is it on a specific form that i could ask for. My dealership seems kinda aloof.

This thread will help you on what to ask for.

As I mentioned above, COTUS has not been rolled out for public use or for 2016's, so the information may be inaccurate. ETA's are typically updated once the vehicle is in transit.

When it swaps over, it means it's loaded up and ready to go, but not necessarily that it started moving at that exact moment. We are unable to provide any additional information beyond the status (order processing, in production, awaiting shipment, in transit, delivered) except for ETA (subject to change) and build date.

I'm not able to provide rail car numbers or locations during transit for the safety and security of all involved.

Mine was a Kansas City build. Probably a longer wait time over Detroit for delivery to Canada. Could be worse, my salesman told me there is a 4 month wait for Explorers!

Mine shows "In Transit" since 4/12, but just learned this morning the truck might be sitting on a rail car and hasn't left the yard yet.

Ford Mo Co has serious opportunity to improve process for special build customers. It's 2016, why aren't we getting text message updates during certain milestones? How many years has cotus been in beta? I get why an organization wouldn't want to spend money on dedicated resources to develop an experience for someone who has already committed to purchase, but that isn't how a raving fan culture is built. With BMW the customer can call or visit website to find the average speed in knots for the boat with your vehicle on it - along with tons of other data points. Just saying there's room for improvement here.

Bummer, all I can do is hope the vehicle gets here in time for our April 30th weekend trip

For mine, COTUS has Monday's date, but my salesman ended up being correct. At 10:40 this morning I got the call that my truck showed up first thing this morning, and I will be picking it up this evening.

Best April 15th EVER!

NA_WreckDiver, did yours show up yet? It wasn't on the truck with mine - I asked. Mine was the only one on the truck.
