My truck has arrived at the dealer! My salesman said it will be at least tomorrow before it's ready. They're going to go check it in, clean it up, and go over it all (I assume an inspection). Should I be looking for anything when I go to pick up, that is, anything common that would need to be addressed before I take it?

Take it for a test drive at both high and low speeds to see if anything seems to be a problem before you give them the check and sign all of the paper work.

Perhaps it has to do with the Priority code your dealer placed on the order.
Fellow Canucks.... If I can save you from my own grief, give up on tracking with Cotus. I don't think it has anything of value for us north of the border. My truck was ordered April 13 and built May 24, and I still do not have it nor a date. My dealer sent a lengthy email to Ford about it, and I doubt I will hear a reply. Cotus showed June 2 then June 5 and now nothing. I called Ford and on the 16th they told me the date was June 9th.... Umm that was a week ago. Mine is supposed to come via convoy not rail as I'm only 3.5 hrs from Dearborn. Not some big production involving rail.

So anyways, a HUGE piece of advice from me, just forget about tracking it and pick up the phone the day they call you. No point in getting a build date when you can simmer that it's sitting in Dearborn or Kansas for a month collecting dust in a yard. Wish I had.

Hello all!

I ordered my Lariat on 15 June. Due to the awesome information in this thread is was able to track my Lariat on the COTUS website. I entered the information yesterday and was pleased to see I already had a VIN and an estimated delivery date of 20 July!

20 July seems quick (only 5 weeks from order date). Do you guys think that will be pushed farther out?

Thanks for all the great info!

dumb question, why are people ordering their truck? I just drove to the dealer and picked one for $1600 under invoice, they had a bunch of 2016 on the lot.

OUT.

Why,for me, I wanted the exact truck that I want, not what a dealer thinks I should have. I did not want a sunroof and most come with it. I wanted the HDPP and the most payload I can get my hands on without a bunch of extra stuff that I just don't need or want. I think that is why most order their truck and are ready to wait the 8-12 weeks.

I ordered mine because I wanted one particular color (Ruby Red) the V8, 4x2, and certain options. They never could find one anywhere that didn't have something missing or some $1000 item I didn't want.
I will pay $3800 under invoice and possibly less if the rebates are better than they are now when the truck is delivered. I get the current or future rebates whichever are better.

I think those of us ordering are just very picky about what we want and that's why we did it. This was my first vehicle order. When I have my truck I'll let you know if I feel I would do it again, but I'm thinking this might be my way to do business from now on....

I've ordered 2 F350's and this is my 3rd F150 I have ordered since 2001. It's the only way I will do it. The waiting is the hard part
