Guess I'm lucky to have ordered from a dealership with decent allocation. It was entered into the system on the 13th, and I got the VIN on the 18th.
The new car manager told me when I ordered it that it would go through the order processing on Thursday, and that was when ford picked the orders. Being a Priority 10, I knew it would be towards the top of the list for the dealership I ordered from... I am pleasantly surprised that I have a VIN already and that the production week has been scheduled.
I thought it would take about a month for the truck to hit the assembly line.

I've been lurking here since July, but finally pulled the trigger last week. I wanted to wait for 2016 to get the Snyc 3. Ordered an XLT SCAB, magnetic with 2.7, 302a, and sport appearance package.
Dealer told me it could take up to 12 weeks. Seems long, but this isn't my only vehicle, so not that big of a deal.

Just ordered my truck tonight. Lots of research and I did well on the truck but got beat up on my trade. At least as far as I was concerned.
Now I wait.

Congratulations on your orders! I'd be happy to help you keep tabs on your new rigs. All I need to get started is your order number and dealer code or your VIN.
I checked a list of the top selling 100 Ford dealers. The dealer I ordered from was in the top 20 of that list for selling more trucks. At the time I was not aware of priority codes but was aware of dealer allocations. The more you sell the more that dealer gets to order tone sold.
I learned that lesson when I put a deposit down on a new 1997 Corvette at a great price only to wait about 4 months to find out that dealer only got two Corvettes for the model year which they had already sold. It then took another couple of months to get my $500.00 deposit back. Ended up buying my next two Corvettes out of state in 1998 and 2000 with high volume dealers.
Back to my truck order. I have a priority code of 10 on my summary sheet which I now understand is a good code to have. I will be checking with Chad later this week for any movement in my order. As of now only 10 days since placing my order I only know that my order is in the system waiting to be picked up.

Ordered 12/4, VIN a couple of weeks later, In production last week, projected build date 1/18, sticker via research maniacs week of 1/11, expected to be at dealer by Feb 8.

Ordered truck in my sig on 12/1. Got my VIN within 10 days from dealer. Built on 12/23/15 in KC. Delivered on 1/14/16. Picked it up yesterday on 1/15/16.
Factoring in the Christmas break the plant took, I think 45 days from order to delivery is very reasonable.
My salesman sent me status updates at least twice a week. I also used Chad on this site to confirm that information.
Process could not have been any easier. Now I just hope for a problem free truck for years to come.

Wow, the priority code must make a huge difference. Your 10. Mine is 16. We have almost the exact truck on order. I ordered mine 12/21 just got vin last week, build date unknown but predicted for early feb. I feel bad for some of the guys saying priority code 80. They might as well order a 2017!!! I will definitely negotiate a priority code of 10 for all future ordered vehicles!!!! I'm jealous if you cant tell. I want my plat asap!
