I had the exact same issue with the lock. It has since broken in and is working fine. You may just want to note it in your instructions, so people know to expect it might happen and that it will likely resolve itself.

On a side note, I believe you recommend silicone lubricant on the rail track. Would it benefit the seals as well? Also, what’s your preferred brand? I need to pick some up.

Thanks again! I’ll post pics if it ever gets sunny again…

Has anyone else had an issue with the lower rollers of the panels hitting the gas shock as it is retracting? I tried to adjust the roller guide as far to the outside as i could to avoid the clashing, but it still hits a little.

I had the same problem. When retracting, mine would not close the last 3 or 4 inches. Make sure the pins that attach the springs to the panels are mounted on the inside edge of the panels. In my case I had to adjust the long bolts that held the roll-up rail away from the side of the truck so they were not even touching the side of the truck. I will probably remove those bolts eventually but I'm leaving them in place until I feel sure I will not need them. The rollers still meet the roll up bar and the cover works smoothly now closing and opening.

Hey Y'all,

Been out of the country for a few weeks and thought I would check in here, after returning home last night. I see Heath got to a huge 30 Peragon covers sold. Way to go Heath!!!

Mine was delivered while away and I hope to get around to installing it later this week.

Got the cover last weekend and got it installed. I am very happy with the look. Issue I am having right now is when I close the cover it tends to stick and is hard to pull closed. I called tech support and Roger was very helpfully. Went through and remeasured and everything and ensured the rails were even and parallel to the bed. I went and readjusted the rails, but I think there may be something I am missing. Any else run into this problem or idea of what I maybe doing wrong. Thanks

When you open the cover, are the panels bumping into the springs? Adjust the long bolts at the bottom of the ramp assemblies. Mine were being held out too far. When I set them inward, the springs cleared and the panels moved eaisly.

Try to loosen the bolts with the washer/spacers just enough to allow slight adjustments. Then open and close the cover until you get the right feel with no sticking (jamming). It's almost an art. Then when you think you have it, start carefully tightening the bolts, insuring not to move the bed rails out of adjustment.

Measure all day long, but you really need to realize the intitial adjustment is really just a way to get started. Each bed cover will have to be approached as slightly unique. The reason is that not everyone will drill the rails in exactly in the same place. Also, some trucks have bed rail caps and others don't. Some bed rail caps are different. etc. I believe they have a great idea and that over time they may come up with other ways to simplify the install.

Good point - thanks for the feedback!

The rails shouldn't need lubrication, but a little silicone or similar on the pivot points between the panels is a good idea periodically just to keep them smooth. We don't have a preferred brand, whatever is handy. Lubricant in the rails can tend to attract dirt. With the ball bearing rollers, the cover should slide well in the rails as-is.

The EPDM rubber we use for the cover seals use the same material used in the window and door seals of your truck. They should last for years without any protectant.

We've heard of this happening a handful of times and we're trying to determine why. In the meantime, a quick fix is to move the ball stud brackets (that you attached to the cover during the install) from the inside of the panel leg to the outside. That will move the gas springs outward just enough to prevent bumping those lower rollers.
