Heath, did not notice until today that this posting extended to another page (thought I had the final page bookmarked in my favorites). Anyways, sent an email to your staff, and thanks again for your response.

On to some of my small concerns:
1. I actually had to go to the hardware store to get more 'spacer' washers. The 40 were not enough. I needed 13 at each front mounting point and 9 at each rear point. Plus the washers next to the nut = 48. Also, I think the stacked washers look a little 'ghetto'. I'll probably get a small diameter pipe and cut it to size to use a single spacer. No biggie, but for $500+ I wish it was a little cleaner solution then piling up a bunch of washers. I realize that everyone may have slightly different mounting points so creating spacers could be difficult.
2. The weather stripping that has the 3M tape that goes under the 'cross rail' at the front of the bed wouldn't stick for some reason. About 2/3 sticked fine, the remaining 1/3 is falling off. Any suggestions? Yes, I cleaned the rail with alcohol and waited for it to dry.
3. The bigger problem and the one that has me the most concerned. My lock won't lock unless I crawl under the cover and push up on the front two panels. The bar that extends to passenger side gets hung up on the lower part of the bed rail track. Suggestions? I cannot extend the adjuster bolt any further otherwise my cover will scrape the bed rail. The cover rolls perfect within the tracks and I've double checked everything for squareness & parallel so I know that is not the problem. Please help with this one, because if I have to crawl under there for the next 6-7 years just to lock the cover I will not be a happy Peragon owner.

All that said, overall my first impressions are I will be happy with this cover. I just really need to figure out why my lock bar is getting hung up on the passenger side.

It's dark out now so I'll try to take some pics for posting tomorrow.
I was in on the group buy and installed mine about a week ago. I had the exact same concern with the lock, go to the side opposite the key and give the cover a little push and let it pop back up...my cover then sprung into place and was able to lock. After about three or four times this has gone away.

What to do with the tape? I don't know, mine stuck something serious.

How did you end up with a different number of washers from the front to the back? Did you mount the mounting angles at different heights? I followed the dimensions given in the instructions and used 9 washers at each corner for spacers and one under each nut, used exactly 40. I tried to use less to get the spacing above the rail per the instructions, but the seal was just way too tight, actually rolled it up on the raised part of the plastic rail. Nine at each location made the seal just snug...fits perfect.

I had to add extra washers on ours too. A spacer would have been better. I'll be looking for some down the road.

I pulled the first cover yesterday and it was very hot. it was very difficult to remove if because of the heat... NOTE to self for future... But I brought it upstairs and allowed it to cool. I didn't get to it until today. I transferred the hardware to the new cover and popped it on. Love it.

Now that I have a better idea how the seals are installed, I have some ideas down the road. Rhino Liner??? Maybe something different.

I also used all the washers that it came with. 10 at each corner. I have some spare square tubing that I used for a stereo build that is just about big around enough for the bolt to go through and have been thinking about cutting that to length and painting it black or something dark so it blends in better.

Home Depot sells this small square tubing that is steel and has some small round aluminum tubing as well that they sell for a little more money. I don't think the aluminum would have a problem, but I'm thinking I'll do steel just to be sure. And keeping it square might help to have more surface area to squeeze against too.

That sounds like a good idea. I'll look into it. Are the seals sold anyway? Maybe Peragon has replacement seals for the folding cover. I'd like to consider following through with my idea. I"m trying to settle on a solution for the siding, Nerf bar and other cool add ons to give it a more SUV and aggressive look, short of the off-road monster trucks many of the F150 enthusiast do. I'd like to make my truck look like an over sized Sport Trac

Sorry for the delayed response - it's been a crazy week.

The 3M tape on that front seal should stick pretty aggressively. I'm not sure what would cause the last 1/3 to fall off, but we'll take care of it for you. Please give us a call or drop an email with your details and we'll send out a new one ASAP at no charge. To avoid having to uninstall the frame to install the seal, it works well to just loosen the front two mounting points and prop the frame up a bit so you can peel off the old seal and apply the new one. The part of the seal that stuck may require some elbow grease to get off cleanly. I apologize for the hassle.

Your lock rod should definitely not be getting hung up like that. We should be able to troubleshoot that for you. One way or another, we'll get it corrected so you're not dealing with it long term! I'd be curious to know if it is still doing that, or if it has worked itself out over the past week. The reason I ask is that when the cover is new and the seals have never been compressed, the first panel joint may not come completely up to flat. It might look flat, but could be just a bit low - enough so the passenger side lock rod clips the rail. Once the seals are broken in, that joint may come up a little higher so the lock rod clears. Leaving the cover closed and locked would help that process. For further help, please give us a call and we'll make sure this is resolved for you.

Glad to hear you are happy overall and thank you for your patience!
