Yep, 24 hours ago it had nothing on it but dust, lol. I am higher elevation than SL is, so I always get more. I'm also considered to be in the "benches" of the mountain, which always seems to attract more snow. The drive home was fine, 2WD all the way.

It's all good fellas. Part of a prescribed burn we were doing today. It really wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't 70 degrees out before the fire.

We haven't had that much snow at one time since the late 70's. What's the elevation over there roughly ? I think we are about 800 above.

Sounds like the road commission kept in step with it. If you were all 2wd for the ride back home, the roads had to be pretty good.

Last time we had that much snow I wasn't even born... "blizzard" of 78". 25" and winds gusting 60mph making 8ft snow drifts trapping drivers on the roadsz

Yea that's different lol. Did you have to get certified for that or have a burn boss present ? The heat didn't help, it's that damn wind that can screw yuh.

2100, I wouldn't even know how to act with anywhere near that much snow.

Jbrew, I am certified but in sc you dont necessarily have to be. We carry the insurance to make sure we have every liability covered. The wind shifted and the humidity dropped to dangerous levels so we couldn't finish the whole tract today.

Yeah I wish I could've been there lol. Currently the most snow I've been in (besides like snowboarding or snowshoeing just like being home) is 11" in about 10hours and that was last year during the day, my husky had a blast! Few other times we got about 8" overnight into morning but yeah that's usually not common.

Remember that well, I was 14 and had a John deere 440 liquifire to get around with. Lived out in the country and where the roads where lower than the fields, they filled up to level. They used big v-blades, end loaders and dump trucks etc to get us a path. It was entertaining to watch, but everyone had sleds back then so yea, we were groupies watching them work at it, while attempting to show off once in awhile, being stupid kids. We returned the entertainment a little bit with a few killer wipe outs, well until no one would get on the toboggan I had tied to the back of the sled anymore.....anyway. Wussies lol.

That was fun, but after 78, it was pretty much over.

Brew...do you run down the highway in 4x? I run in 2wd other than SOF at some intersections, stay in 2wd. Just wondering how people do drive in other areas/climates.

Damn....this little ditty caught my attention, lol.
