Cardone use to be half way decent, maybe with some of their stuff. Their brake stuff is pretty good. I guess they're sort of like Dorman, depends what they send yuh lol.

Damn whitey, nice pics of the Halloween place. They went all out with the colors

You are getting quite a pile of parts gathered there. I have a question on using the 88-91 distributor though. Isn't the roller cam gear angled just a bit different than the tappet cam? I ran into this with a 5.0 we built a few years back. I had to order the dist gear and replace it on the 302. It was destroying the gears in just 10 minutes of running time. Made them thin as hell in no time at all. Just wondering if that applies to the 51 cam. I know you are using the roller 02 cam, so that is why I'm asking.

Not sure if the angle is different, but I do have to put a steel gear on it. I think this one is cast, and it will chew it all up running on the hydraulic cam. I actually have one of each that I can look at shortly. The 302 and 351 uses the same cam.... at least the rollers do. I don't have much experience outside of the HO/Roller motors with cams.

In fact, this 351 had the F4TE cam in it..... same came the 5.0 Explorer uses.

Quick question guys. I have a 3" body lift on my truck and want to hide my frame when I put on the new valance. Can I cut the frame horns off at the bumper mounts and use a valance without tow hook holes? I know it's an educated guess at best but it's better than guessing from old pictures.

You have them on the frame ? Huh, the 98's are up by the heads on the rad support...pass side. You might have some pre drilled holes there already.

Man, I hope this thread doesn't get moved to "off topic". That would suck.

I think you can move the tow hooks to the top of the frame rail (you might need new holes). If so, that won't hide the frame, but should put the hooks back where they're supposed to be. Then maybe you could figure out a way to cover the ends?

I'm a little lost brew. I feel like I may not have been clear in my description.

I have caps for the open rails but one rail got mangled and the cap doesn't fit anymore so I have to cut them back. I think I can clear them with the blank valance but just not 100%

Gotcha. Not sure on that one, then, but even if you have to trim a little it will probably work and look good.
