Good morning, Bear! Glad to help!
Scored me a side job last night, and quite possibly a couple other fixes as well. It's a Cheby Suburban... it needs brakes, tie rod ends, end links, and they were told an upper control arm by a local shop. I'll have a look at it tomorrow or Friday and get them a parts list.
This shop they took it to refused to do the brakes (metal on metal right now) unless they did the rest of the work on it (and an alignment). I might not be the smartest guy and understand all things, but to knowingly send someone down the road with a metal on metal situation seems a little strange to me. I understand their logic in wanting to do that other work, but in a case like this my friend with a trans shop would note it on the paperwork, and void applicable warranties (of course with customers knowledge). From a safety standpoint, I don't understand it.

Fairly certain this will hit national news... right around the corner from my Buddy's shop.
