I spent nearly my entire day yesterday getting my baby ready for the car show on August 9th. I know it'll need washed again by then, but I wanted to get it as close as I can to being ready. I think the power steering is finally settling in..... every time I've put one of these older Ford pumps in, it seems there is an adjustment period before is quiets down and operates smoothly..... not jerking the wheel a bit when the car is stopped.
Very nice White. I broke out the compound on Saturday and had my truck looking good but it has rained non stop since then. It's as if I called the rain.
Thank you all very much. JP, I have never waxed this thing since it was painted - nearly 8 years ago. He put a carnauba wax on it that is still on there..... whatever he used after he painted it is some TOUGH stuff. Although, it doesn't get much sun, so maybe that's why. Yeah, the only thing I waxed was the wheels, LOL. I did buy some of the spray on wax for it though - but just used it on the wheels.
Ohio.... that LX reminds me a lot of my 86 GT. If I had an interior pic, I could guess better, but I know it's an 87-90 you've got there. 87 and 88 are identical, 89 has the pony on the dash, and the armrest in the center console..... 90 has the pony on the dash and no armrest, and 91 the 10 hole rims left and were replaced with the pony rims like I have.
My old 86 GT is the car that I regret selling more than any other. These pics are from the All Ford shows we used to have, sponsored by NUMOA (Northern Utah Mustang Owners Association). The wheels on this are the wheels on my car right now. I bought them brand new for my 86, then kept them for the 89 when I sold it.
